Hondaracer 12-05-2016 01:31 PM

East van still coming down hard lol

Adorkami 12-05-2016 01:33 PM

In north burnaby right now and it is coming down really heavy. Shoveled neighbors sidewalk and mine about an hour ago and you can barely tell the difference compared to if i didn't do it.

6o4__boi 12-05-2016 01:37 PM

i hope your neighbor was hot

Adorkami 12-05-2016 01:41 PM

A couple in their 80s... if that's your thing sure...

CorneringArtist 12-05-2016 01:45 PM

Richmond is on and off and can't decide :yuno:

Bouncing Bettys 12-05-2016 01:46 PM

Langley is still getting rain/wet snow. FedEx bumped their pick up cut off time an hour because of the weather. Half a days worth of AOG packages aren't going until tomorrow. I was dealing with them all day for other stuff and not one mention of an early cutt off.

racerman88 12-05-2016 01:55 PM

East Richmond (Hamilton) by the Queensborough area has been snowing non-stop

6o4__boi 12-05-2016 01:58 PM

starting to taper off a bit in Burnaby
still steady but the flakes aren't as thick

:heckno:

not looking forward to the drive home

Inaii 12-05-2016 02:08 PM

It's been snowing steadily all day in the Joyce-Collingwood area. And from what I hear Snake Hill in Coquitlam (down to Pomo) is closed and Mariner is fucked.

Presto 12-05-2016 02:18 PM

Raining in Langley, now.
Roads are clear.

reading online that there is a big car fire on hastings and holdom and traffic either single lane or not getting through at all... some guy was gunning it hard trying to get up the hill and the engine went boom?

meanwhile this is my view in surrey...

i want to go home

6o4__boi 12-05-2016 02:25 PM

Still Creek going to the Highway already looks pretty heavy. Fml.

edit: Sun is out in Richmond.

Akinari 12-05-2016 02:38 PM

The snow was coming down nonstop for a few hours in the White Rock/South Surrey earlier, seems like none of the city crews weren't able to keep up. Oh seems like the snow's started again as I'm typing.

Was the first car at a red light on a bit of an incline in front of a high school just as school ended, had extreme difficulty finding grip.

All the kids started looking at me as my car was revving up and down thinking dis ricer :lawl:

whitev70r 12-05-2016 03:00 PM

see break in the clouds, south of Fraser river, Richmond area.

this is from 2013:

Port Mann 'ice bombs' have cost ICBC $400,000 so far - NEWS 1130

There was a broken watermain that turned everywhere into a skating rink up there :p we can only do so much so fast :)

ImportPsycho 12-05-2016 04:19 PM

This morning after waiting 1hour for a bus out of UBC, gave up and took my car to work. I saw students walking to ubc on 16th lol

DragonChi 12-05-2016 04:27 PM

I'm suprised they didn't shutdown the school.

Saw 4 accidents today to the office. Saw like 5-6 buses stuck up hills getting to site.

Just checked the forecast, supposed to snow more on Thursday, Friday. I'm sure the city is going to implode.

Do you work for the city of Burnaby as well?which department? :D

7seven 12-05-2016 05:34 PM

the dumbest thing today I saw driving into the office downtown was freaking golf cart sized snow plows and city crew working to clear snow from the bike lanes on Dunsmuir, but i didn't see one single truck or worker working on the streets or sidewalks. Seriously who is going to even bike in a snow storm, Moonbeam needs a kick in the head.

agreed, where the eff is the priority.

Furthermore, city crews knew about the snowfall, yet roads were shit out there. Wtf. Especially Burnaby.
