Still coming down hard in East Van, but a bit more wet than earlier. |
Pouring rain mix with snow in Richmond. Most big roads are clear, but left turn lanes are still sketchy tho. I watched a mustang end up doing a U turn cause they spun LOL. Only good thing about this snow is that I get to see all the cool snow cars, like a volvo v70r. Surprisingly, a slammed wrx sti and a lowered legacy gt wasn't too shabby in this snow. Makes me want to take out my e46, too bad it's broken. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk |
More snow!!! |
I live around 4 and Bridgeport in Richmond. Just driving to yvr, there were 3 accidents and lots of cars dumped on the side of the road (jaguar, slk amg, bunch of bmw etc) it’s sad that people don’t prepare and just assume performance summer tires will be fine. Ugh |

thats just so expected in Richmond. So many bad drivers.... EleGiggle |
Burnaby near Willing don Costco so heavy. Couple inches sticking on everything. But still slush on the ground |
I heard that Sea 2 Sky is fucked. One of my workers just made it into the office from there. It took him 3 hours to get out of it. Lots of people without winter tires. |

As I said earlier, I was helping a new Boxster off the street earlier. I can only assume summer tires as it was completely useless. Anyhow, multiple times I had to scream at the young girl to stop as she was spinning non stop sideways directly into the curb. Finally we got her to the side of the road where she wasn't blocking traffic. I went home and grabbed my boots and went back to the high traffic corner. Looks like she tried again. And curbed the living shit out of her rims. Some people just don't listen. haha. I don't feel bad for her. |
A ton of snow and accidents in Nanaimo. Lot of places without power. I just lost power 10 minutes ago. Our Gas station is down my mining computers are down but I just swithced to the 10 gig data plan so still got the internet!!! |
BOO... it stopped...downtown anyways. |

Fuck this city when it snows. I left Bby at 7 and there wasn't a hint of snow. 9 oclock at UBC snow starts but we say "it won't stick to the roads" Come out of the bush at 11 to slow moving traffic. oh boy Stopped to push some kid out of the middle of 16th. Nobody else stopped even though he was practically begging. Here is my old lady description of the car....green with decals, four door, couldn't push on the spoiler because it isn't "really attached", neither was the bumper so he said just to push on the brake light area, big rims and no rubber. Took two tries to get him going and once I got him parked on the side street I said in the most motherly and patronizing "you are going to leave that parked here as I don't think those tires are made for this weather" Line up of cars blocking Broadway waiting to get into the tire shop 6 buses backup up along Broadway at McDonald 4th was a gong show due to the Burrard Bridge being closed At 2 a Mazda minivan couldn't get grip and was spinning his tires at Hemlock and Broadway. WTF that isn't even steep! Not a bad commute home but listen to the "state of emergency" of North and West Van. (I know...on a car website and that is the best description of the car...green with decals) LOL |
all you had to say green cars with decals and i already had the image in my head...the other stuff with the bumper just had me imagining it hanging off of aircraft cable and the spoiler well...bubble gum :lawl: |
west van was a bit mad... over 5 inches in some areas and climbing. |

Any reports of ice/snow bombs on Hwy 1 or Alex Fraser? |
Fraser Hwy in Aldergrove to Abby took me an hour and a half. Just need to pick up some mail. And half of Aldergrove is without power so I couldn't get sushi. |

If I were to be driving along and happen to find someone needing help who's slightly stuck on the side of the road possibly a front tire leading into a small ditch should I help? I keep a recovery strap in my truck at all times and have no problem helping someone who needs a tug but I'm more worried about them complaining that I've damaged their car and have them say I'm at fault for cracking a bumper or something along those lines. Any ways to protect myself there? 10 second video of them saying I accept no risk or fault from any accidents while trying to help them for free or just tell them sorry and to go call a tow truck and then go on with my day. |
