EvoFire 03-01-2023 04:37 PM

It was raining in Richmond and South Van. I think this is it for snow this season.

Decent snow in Burnaby too (around Metrotown) though it's very wet stuff so it'll probably melt away by tomorrow.

It's been sleeting the whole morning in Killarney/Fraserview, way too wet to stick.

I see cars coming from the Burnaby direction that are covered though.

whitev70r 01-07-2024 05:10 PM

Snow forecast for tomorrow, brace yourself with school starting and people going back to work. Should be a fun morning commute! Apparently, the HOV lane on the Port Mann is scheduled to close due to those snow bombs :ahwow:

These crossclimate2's arent gonna cross climate themselves.... that didnt make a lick of sense.

snowball 01-07-2024 06:46 PM

I was ready to put my tires on Wednesday, so hopefully nothing of note tonight.

PeanutButter 01-08-2024 07:58 PM

I went to costco and bought the cross climate 2's and the tech there told me I should have gotten the x-ice 2's...

I told him from what I saw online, the CC2's are better in wet and dry handling/performance and since we never get that much snow, the CC2's are better as they have really good snow performance too.

He told me that the Xice are better for the snow...

I didn't want to argue with him, but from what I read online and from what I saw on youtube, the CC2's perform really well in the snow in its class and they have better wet and dry performance.

Badhobz 01-08-2024 08:01 PM

What ?!? A dedicated snow tire being better in the snow ?!? How shocking. Yeah no shit Sherlock Costco tech guy. Tell us something we don’t know. But why fuck around with two sets of tires when one set year round will do the job 99% of the time
