But a lot of carnage can happen with just 1mm of snow within 6 minutes in Vancouver traffic...

mikemhg 02-24-2023 08:07 AM

It's 28C here in Belize :lol

Badhobz 02-24-2023 08:22 AM

they sound so unsure

when they sound unsure, you know its going to be bad

when they say its gonna be bad, its gonna be sunny.

teggy604 02-24-2023 09:32 AM

My phone says 20-30cm of snow for Vancouver on sat to Sunday. Woot.

Gerbs 02-24-2023 09:51 AM

StylinRed 02-24-2023 04:04 PM

I should've stayed in Australia longer :/

And I should've bought that snow blower shovel but I figured we weren't going to get anymore snow for the season :lol

whitev70r 02-25-2023 07:35 AM

Woe ... DoorDash went ahead to cancel all deliveries tonight in Southwest BC cuz of the snow.

RiceIntegraRS 02-25-2023 08:59 AM

i assured my wife that theres no way its gonna snow as much as they say tonight. hopefully i dont look like an idiot, i also already took her winters off.

dachinesedude 02-25-2023 09:42 AM

What's your thoughts process when you decide to take off winters in February? Truly curious

RiceIntegraRS 02-25-2023 10:11 AM

Temps were starting to creep up higher and higher and i truly believed winter season was over and i didnt wanna to eat up my wifes winter tires unnecessarily. I wanted to "save" tread life for when she needs it most. Again i dont think itll snow that bad at all where her all seasons wouldnt be able to handle

Hondaracer 02-25-2023 10:17 AM

I don’t get that line of thinking lol.. like what, you buy winter tires to try and save a month or two of the total life span?

It’s always like this, it’s not uncommon for snow in late March even. I’ll sacrifice a few months or an even a season of my winters for the safety and peice of mind. Let alone the headache of switching them off etc.

No wonder people are in ditches and hedges lol

sonick 02-25-2023 10:20 AM

Winter tires aren't like f1 tires they're not gonna shred the moment temps hit over 6.

In my case I'm more concerned of the rubber getting too old and hard before I run down the tread. I'm on my 5th or 6th season and they still feel like they have 85% of new grip in ice and snow but with plenty of tread.

hud 91gt 02-25-2023 10:25 AM

I keep mine on longer as I can’t wear them out before they go hard.

tegra7 02-25-2023 10:49 AM

Is it snowing in Van or Richmond yet?
