whitev70r 02-27-2023 03:03 PM

What is the death rate of any given person?

ImportPsycho 02-27-2023 03:47 PM

Private aircraft in general have a STARK safety record difference compared to commercial aviation

It’s one thing if you’re in a nice new gulf stream and a former airforce pilot but as balling as people are around here, I wouldn’t trust too many peoples private charter lol

Badhobz 02-27-2023 04:13 PM

I think the maintenance on personal charters and private aircrafts are below what the commercial airline standards are. That or they just aren't built as well as the big commercial planes.

I cant believe all these accidents are attributed to pilot errors. I play a lot of flight simulator and its pretty friggin brainless operating a small Cessna. <-- yes thats a valid statement. i got over 1000h clocked on my flight simulator profile WutFace

SSM_DC5 02-27-2023 05:48 PM

You got 1000h of hitting your airplane on profile?!:troll:

Looks like a couple inches or so in Burnaby have come down with steady snow coming down so looking forward to seeing traffic this morning.

whitev70r 02-28-2023 06:08 AM

Coming down hard in Vancouver ... worst than Sunday actually. But they made such a big deal about Sunday and not much about today. Yah, get your zoom on folks and stay home if you can.

Badhobz 02-28-2023 06:26 AM

ohhh its bad this morning. strange, i read the weather last night and they didnt mention that richmond was going to get such a big dumping.

pastarocket 02-28-2023 07:30 AM

More snow to shovel off my driveway after work from home today.

This is the fourth time of snow fall this winter in the Lower Mainland, by my count.

"Good" read this morning.

I had to go into the office as the boss' boss wants an in person and they were coming into the office so here I am. Around Science World it's fine but there's a lot of packed ice on Kingsway and on Nanaimo. There was a multi-car accident around Nanaimo and 29th with cops on the scene diverting traffic.

EvoFire 02-28-2023 08:56 AM

Conditions are pretty poor out and it's not letting up. I feel like it's more than the 5-10cm that the weather office warning says this morning.

It's bad cause it's the slushy float over top type of snow. Typical havoc causing Vancouver snow.

nismodrifter 02-28-2023 09:21 AM

Went out and measured. Its 18cm of fresh stuff. This is in South Surrey. Crazy yo.

I made that assumption the last big snow dump we had in December (Which was about 10 times the snow we had last night).

Until the garbage truck comes roaring up the hill at 8:00am, all 8 rear tires spinning out with chains on. And I bloody missed the pickup.

yray 02-28-2023 11:04 AM

Qmx323 02-28-2023 11:06 AM

winson604 02-28-2023 11:08 AM

Drive from East Van to the office in Olympic Village this morning was a breeze. Not that many cars on the road and most people were driving pretty slow but not unnecessarily slow. That said it was way too slow for me so without being an aggressive jerk I zipped by everyone when I could. The usual really, main roads were fine though I've never had issues driving in this weather regardless of what car or tires I have but I can only control myself and it's others that I fear. Only came across one idiot as I was driving down Victoria right after Kingsway as we were going down the hill on the left lane all was fine until the car in front of my thought people were going too slow so he pulls into the right lane to speed up and instantly slipped all over the place. Luckily I was keeping safe distance or else he would have swipped into me.
