You’ll need studded ice tires for that kinda shit. |

True when it first moved location. But the last year been eating around all the pho places. Thai Son was still the same price and same large portion while the rest has shrunk and gotten more expensive. Pho37 got even worse after they moved to the bigger location at capstan. |

CC2s have been beastly on my shit ass 1wd golf wagon these past few days. Passing all the range rovers with people sitting 2 inches from the steering wheel going 8km/h with ease. |

So, the Civic does shockingly well in the snow with proper tires. Main issue is the ground clearance. I feel like LSD does help on the side streets and back lanes - comparing to my Mazda 3 previously. |
https://www.yelp.ca/biz/pho-den-burnaby I've been to Pho Den (Kingsway & Gilley) a few times lately and it's not bad - the wings are delicious while the pho can be a bit hit and miss though the last time the broth was spot on. In its favour it's clean and the staff are very friendly. |

If we get more snow I'd love to hear feedback on how single stage blowers do with the wet stuff. Snowblower is useless for me if it cannot move heavy snow. |

I like Pho Den but their portions are TINY especially if you get the lemongrass chicken. |
Instead of a north of $500 snowblower, has anyone tried one of these? Are they any good? https://www.rona.ca/en/product/garan...B&gclsrc=aw.ds |
Yes, those work pretty well. Especially if you have to move very very heavy snow. Like snow that's piled up on the side of the road blocking in your driveaway after the plow goes past. You don't need to lift it off the ground, it saves your back. |
I have one and it's way better than a regular shovel. It moves a lot more snow at a time and doesn't require you to lift anything off the ground. I used it last night to clear the snow that the plow left in front of my driveway. When not in use though, it takes up a ton of space and is bulky to store. It definitely has its uses. I also own a cheap wired snowjoe blower to clear the light fluffy stuff when it's there. |

So, on sale I feel like they're a good deal, but I wouldn't wear it enough to justify it at full price. I have blundstones, but they provide almost no grip in the winter weather when there's snow/slush, so having a winter boot for me when I go out for a walk is a must. |
I went to the Thai Son on E Broadway and Kingsway around 6PM a couple months ago with 4 people and their soup base was very diluted compared to any pho shop that I've ever been to. Is there a better location that doesn't water down their broth so I can give it a second chance? |
The one at Garden City & Alderbridge in Richmond has a nice broth |
I had pho today because of this thread. Thanks RS! |
Whenever I'm in Richmond visiting the parents I usually hit up Pho Khang in Broadmoor I think they're pretty good, I usually get the Bun Bo Hue. Admittedly though my pho place sample size is like 4 |

If it was in Richmond, you better carry a debit card or cash. Shocked that so many places don't accept credit cards in Richmond places !! |

If you’re ever out towards White Rock fire me a PM and if I’m not working or at the rink, I’ll buy you a bowl. |
Same if you come to Richmond. I’ll take you to Thai son. Show you my hood. |
