Maybe cheaper insurance or for really tiny kids?

You're right though that legroom is pretty laughable.

hongy 05-10-2012 06:48 PM

I thought that was the point of a 2+2 though. Also I swear I saw one heading up East on Hastings in North burnaby an hour and a half ago? Looks tiny.

Nlkko 05-10-2012 07:04 PM

The rear seats are there for insurance purposes. That's the point of 2+2. It's not a people carrier.

Same here man. Im leaning towards the brz though. I'm just trying to be patient and have a test drive and wait a year for any major problems.

StylinRed 05-10-2012 09:04 PM

even for a 2+2 though that is seriously comical lol

jing 05-10-2012 09:38 PM

I'm sure the seat is set all the way back in that picture

Culverin 05-10-2012 10:16 PM

Some of us asians are tiny. And not only that, our legs a disproportionately short.

I am 5'6, bit have the same length of torso as some 6' tall friends.
This means my seat is super far forward.

can someone explain insurance and 2+2, I take it insurance is cheaper for a 4 seater vs 2 seater?

satek 05-10-2012 11:53 PM

backseats are where wheels sit for track days.

Backseat can be folded down flat!

see.lai 05-11-2012 06:12 AM

I'd hate to sit in the back of that.

Yes. +2 is used to lower the insurance rate.

Gerbs 05-11-2012 09:48 PM

^ by how much around do you know?

Any proof? I think actuaries would rate the vehicle based on other characteristics too. 2+2 won't matter if the reality is a 2.

Actually.. 2+2 should cost more because there could be 4 people getting injuried vs. 2 people getting injuried. Exposure increased.

Tetsugen 05-12-2012 12:11 PM

Do you guys think the BRZ STi will show up when the car is refreshed or earlier ?

Nabatron 05-12-2012 12:33 PM

^^probably show up in a year or two after the first batch of BRZ's are sold..

Tetsugen 05-12-2012 01:27 PM

Hmmm I need a new car and have been shafted by Subaru before (with the massive upgrades on the WRX... I bought two months before the refresh !) :okay:

I guess I'll get a beater until the STi model comes out.

Over9K 05-12-2012 04:46 PM

You'd think they would have relocated the battery to the rear...like the Cobalts.
