I got mine the same day that you got yours (@Staples w/ coupons, 16GB @ 385+tax) only difference is I didn't get the protection plan.. I think I might try returning mine tomorrow as well and either wait it out for the TF2 or settle with a 32 GB upgrade!

ForbiddenX 09-04-2011 11:33 PM

I have a feeling that the 32GB will hit that price again pretty soon (hopefully).

I got the protection plan at bestbuy since it's an on going thing for 3 years. Literally anything that can happen other than physical is covered. And if anything does happen, you'll be able to get a brand new one or if there isn't anymore transformers (ie: Transformer 2 is out) You'll be getting the transformer 2.

So if by chance the transformer gets bricked or something a few weeks after the transformer 2 is released. The replacement will be a transformer 2 :)

price protection? damn i think i missed on that..

Anyone use a stylus for the Transformer? How well does it work?

!MiKrofT 09-23-2011 07:21 PM

Most of them don't work very well. The tablet is optimized for fingers and not stylus.

ForbiddenX 09-23-2011 08:55 PM

Are there any that are at least decent? I want to start taking notes on the tablet so I can stop printing out paper lol.

^you know you can just type it into your tablet right?

ForbiddenX 09-23-2011 11:23 PM

yes?

Kind of hard to type math notes on pdfs

bigzz786786 09-24-2011 07:56 AM

^ oh, maybe there is an app for it?

I'm using ezPDF reader and it'd be easier to write on it with a stylus than just my finger.

for anyone interested

From Memory express:

On Sale!!! with $70.00 Off

$399

bigzz786786 09-30-2011 07:53 AM

^only 500 for the 32gb with dock

are they getting ready for the transformer 2 maybe?

SiRV 09-30-2011 08:15 AM

^ thats a possibility. They actually had this sale back in late August as well though so they might be just trying to clear up some excess inventory

ForbiddenX 09-30-2011 08:41 AM

That's a really good price for the Transformer. PM with BB or Futureshop to get the extra $7 off

they should.

they price match any company with a physical store. as long as it's not a print out from like newegg, it's fine.

SiRV 09-30-2011 09:39 AM

Better than both in my opinion, I've owned the transform and the tab (resold both after realizing I had no use for it)
I've never owned the playbook... But is that really even a question lol

Vansterdam 09-30-2011 10:05 AM

playbook beats the tab 7 and comes close to beating the tab 10.1

specs for the transform look preety solid i might have to get down on this sale lol

is it possible to tether internet from my blackberry to this?

since i see it has bluetooth is a there a program i could use for it to work? will pdanet work?

I think most retailers do not PM door crasher pricing if you look closely in their TOS or policy.

they won't if there's a limit on it. When the sale was on in Aug ME had a limit of 2 per person and FS/BB wouldn't honor it.

Vansterdam 09-30-2011 10:24 AM

looks like 499 with dock isnt the best deal as ncix and memory express had it for 479-490 before with dock included as well

guess ill wait for a better deal :P

R&R 09-30-2011 11:14 PM

has anyone tried tethering a blackberry and the transformer yet?
