It's not in mint condition, it's been dropped a lot of times so there are knicks on all corners of the bezel, the front white glass of the phone on the bottom right corner is also chipped a bit. It's locked to Rogers, and there's an old invisible shield on it that makes the phone look a bit yellow. The phone was stolen last night, so if it appears on Craigslist or something it should be on or after April 7th. I also know that it's a long shot, but every little bit helps... I'll be offering a reward, and my undying gratitude to whoever finds it, if it does get found. I do have the IMEI #, but want to refrain from blacklisting it for a few weeks or so in case it does get found. Thanks a lot

does anyone know of a place to get the power button repaired? i'm far out of my warranty.

It feels like the springy feeling is gone =(

Ok I can confirm the SAM unlock works, unlocked a Telus iPhone to work with Rogers sim

You can still bring it to the Apple Store and let them look at it.
They'll then give you a quote to fix it or maybe if you get lucky they might fix it for free.

i think it's a great free alternative to gevey, but it will incur some downtime when ur travelling unless you can get ur hands on the destination sim card. not to mention you need a working internet connection + itunes.

Yes it took me 3 days to figure out and trouble shoot. It wasn't as easy as the write ups, had to search for all sorts of errors and shit. But by all means try it yourself. You can't fuck anything up.

Hi, I have a problem this morning.

I clearly remember that my ipod touch or iphone 4 were able to be used as a usb drive for storing files for school or jpeg. All I had to do was plug in the iphone usb cable to my windows laptop and the computer detects it and I can drag and move files from computer to iphone or vise versa.

Today, Iphone doesnt let me do that anymore. I restarted the phone and it still doesnt allow me to drag files into the root folder or even jpegs into the DCIM folder. My windows computer DOES recognize the iphone and I can browse the files on the DCIM folder (most pictures /videos i took with it.

Is this normal?

Can you apple guru chime in on this? I dont think I need itunes because I clearly remember grabbing a jpeg or a document from a friends house 1 year ago by just using usb cable.

My phone is stock and never jailbroken

anyone have this problem where your on a call then suddenly call failed and then it goes no services. couple minutes later searches for the network and works again?

I heard it was a sim card issue? Can anyone confirm it is before i go out and buy another sim card

I just picked up a 4S and the battery life was pretty crappy. It would drop 20% overnight!
Turns out apps are still running in the background...

To close an app completely, double clicking the home button will bring up a list of apps that are open. Press & hold the icon and when they start wiggling, you can "delete" them from the list of currently running apps.

Hopefully my battery life improves significantly now...

Edit: Definitely had a software bug on my phone - something was STILL running in the background; phone wouldn't go into standby. My "usage" & "standby" timers were very close, so something was wrong. Apple gave me a new phone and fortunately, this new one works fine!

You can now 'unlock' your iPhone if you're running iOS 5.0.1 or 5.1

It's not a traditional unlock because you need to run it each time you swap sims but it's definitely something that we could put to good use when travelling!

Just got my 4S as well, battery is ok but feels like it drops percentage quicker than my old 3G. Still learning all the new apps.

Looking everywhere for some quality cases that surrounds complete edging, side buttons, connector, soft silicone cover cause easier on the hand...and cheap hahah...$10 at best lol...
Seen some decent ones on ebay but rather see in person first.

Any recommendation on screen protectors? Bought the helium 2pack for ipad2 and like it...but open to good suggestions?

anyone having problems with 3G on the Rogers network? I don't know if it's Rogers or my cell phone that is having problems but 3G doesn't always work

That means your phone is on orientation lock. When you turn it horizontal, the screen does not auto adjust. To disable it, just double click on the home button to bring up the multi task bar. Swipe all the way to the left and there should be a unlock button there.

I have the orientation lock all the time lol hella annoying when it moves from horizontal view etc.

my iphone 4 just died after updating to the ios 5.1.1... only thing i can do with the phone now is DFU mode, no screen no nothing. if i try to restore, while preparing phone for restore it'll reboot the phone where usb disconnects and suppose to reconnect? it doesn't or the phone doesn't boot up either or ~ computer doesn't detect phone unless it's in dfu mode.. anyone have experience with this?? now i just have a pretty paperweight since i'm stuck in dfu mode with no hopes of restoring or the thing turning on at all.
