I don't see any danger to giving them the serial. Not giving them the serial would be suspect. The serial will help them establish whether the phone is under warranty or not, when it was bought/made and what model it is.

That sucks...Siri did slow my iPhone 4 down when I had it ported even though it was a legit port. I don't imagine a navigation feature being that power hungry though?

Hey guys my iPhone 4 power/lock button crapped out on me, it doesn't click in anymore. I'm on tethered jailbreak and yesterday my phone ran out of battery, so my phone is literally a dead brick until I can get my power button fixed or replaced.

Looked around on Google for some quick fixes, nothing has worked. Can anybody recommend a reliable and cheap place to have it fixed? Thanks.

It wont slow your iphone 4 down , its just asshole apple marketing to get you to pay for their newer phones. The iphone 4 is JUST as capable as a 4S, i own both and they are ridiculously similar in terms of speeds. One more thing, if the iphone 4 isnt good enough to handle 3d navigation.... How come it does when its using Navigon with the 3d feature? Even my 3G runs navigon with 3d feature.
