56 Monk 23k hp and 4.3k DPS. Hunting for cheap gear on the AH pays off

Noob question but
How do I look up dps? /what's the difference btwn damage and dps?

What in the flying fuck?! ... omg the game's only been out for 4 days... did they 96 hours straight?! ... I'm not even into Nightmare yet ... :okay:

Hunted on the AH for a while and managed to double my monk's DPS as I was just starting Nightmare :megusta:

dam lol my friend is at act 2 in inferno and said its close to impossible haha
im stuck at act 2 hell mode -.-

wow it took them almost half hour to kill a diablo on inferno... more like an endurance battle.

it's a little like dota.. but no creeps i guess? and i don't think they're gonna have anything like 5v5.. probably 2v2 or 3v3 max i'm guessing something like WoW arena's.

What's the general rule of thumb for the auction house?
I am not getting any bids or able to sell anything..

I believe I am selling it pretty low too...lvl 17 rares for like 2000-4000 buyout

Diablo is really fucking easy compared to the other bosses.

Barbarian and the bash stun rune you will only get hit a couple times.

was hit 0 in normal, once in nightmare.

I sell my lvl 30-40 rares for about 3k buy out

50 for 5k+ depending on stats

they sell within 1 hour

holy im underpricing my items so much!
30-49 3-5k buyouy
10-30 2k

they sell like pancakes :ilied:

monk is too easy..... started playing my hunter but still kind of easy.....

Maybe I will play a Witch Doctor.....

Maybe you should try Hell or Inferno lol

i'm 40 wd now and it is pretty challenging. cause i usually play solo.. lots of aoe damage but you gotta kite alot with the mobs that have alot of hp or else you get hit 3 times and you die. at 4k hp and about 1.4k dps i think. almost at belial in nightmare :considered:

Just beat hell diablo. Had a 4 man group and tool about 7 tries as we did't have a proper tank (No monks).

Anyway I was at lv 59 before beating him with 15k dps and 24k hp as a wiz. Now I'm 60 :D

Stoked for inferno, but I'm going to tone down my gameplay as I hit 60 and want a life again lol!!!

Just got to level 60 + inferno today and its when all the "fun" starts.

If you guys didn't know this before, once you reach level 60, every time you kill an elite pack (blue or yellow titled ones [not purples]), you get a MF/GF stack. its 15% per stack and lasts 30minutes. 5 stacks max and the timer gets reset with each stack/kill of mob.

With the stacks, i found that drops of 7 blue items and 2 yellow items per boss happen easily and yellow items from chests are not surprising :) and the gold drops are significantly higher. 100~1000

Anyone get any slow down when playing with 4 players and get raided by mobs? I can hear my video card fan slow down and my game fps will start dropping down to 10 or less. But once all the mobs are dead game will go back to normal. I'm using GTX 480. Driver issue?

GTX 460 full settings, no issues for me. im guessing its ur driver/individual issue, could even be overheating if u have poor cooling.

Is the way how Monk works...... you get self heal, when u spent spirit it also heals you, auras that can damage mobs that comes to you, get your own campions, there is also this thing where you can play on the ground and no enemy can enter and it even heals you when it expires...... Of coz there is the Aoe stuns as well

It all sounds nice, but the enemies have insane amounts of hp. You can stun them all day but u will eventually run out of resource and you still have not killed one of them. If you don't continuously find better weapons to give you damage, the monsters will just start tanking you.

I am not knocking on your character, I am just saying the difficulty level scales up quite a bit after nightmare. So if you haven't tried hell yet.

Just curious, what difficulty are you at? Monks are not easy in Hell/Inferno..

I'm at 2.3kDPS lvl 50, i better start AH hunting

Monks die in a few hit if not spec'd properly, I can go all out DPS when grouped with a tank, otherwise, I need to reduce my DPS in favor of survivability. (mystic ally, mantra, serenity, etc)
