another maintenance, this time 8 hrs -__- |
Any good tank barb/monk wanna duo inferno act 1 with me? We can try to stack nephlam mf buff and get items for real money auction before it comes out |
|
Ok, after looking into my hack, it may have been because I joined a public game. Quote:
Just some speculations, but I think this 8 hour maintenance is to fix the azmodan glitch runs where you get 2x the xp for each run instead of the ~150k. A diablo gold find glitch, and possibly the said issue above. Maybe even the Wizard force armor/diamond armor build. |
They want to nerf Demon Hunters smoke screen skill too ;T |
im in inferno mode right now as a barb and its ridiculous imo.. finished act1.. but act2 is a nightmare My stats prior to act2 were 49k hp 11k dps 7000 armor 120 resist to all approx 12% crit/life regen etc. etc. but i get one shotted by boss mobs in act 2 and.. I tried out act 3 inferno. got taken out in one swing from the normal grunt units. So i tried to re-itemize.. to lots of +resist .. still no luck. after i switched my warcry buff to the last rune.. i had about 230-ish resist to all 6.9k armor.. and only a paltry 32khp with 7000 dps and of course.. still get one shotted. I'm pretty much resigned to farming act1 inferno.. and then eventually rerolling to a witchdoc or dh/sorc. I know inferno mode is meant to be difficult but, its ridiculous how useless a barb is right now |
i'm at 13.7k dps lv 60 DH Nurrrr maintenance till tmrw morning :( |
god damn inferno is hard, I just gave up questing and going all out farm mode now til I can get better gear Monk 40k hp 5k dps 5000 armor 182 all resists (<3 One with Everything passive) |
Passed out at 10 last night Woke up an hour ago Diablo is down?!???? FUUUHHH :(:(:( |
I'm up to level 56 with my Wizard now... Sporting about 21K HP and 10K DPS in Act 2 Hell mode. I find certain Blue/Yellow mods tear me down and it takes me 3 tries to get them but others I can mop up no problem. For the people questioning Inferno Difficulty I think maybe running more Hell runs for better gear would be a better option? I think it's human nature to want to take on the next act after beating hell but from what I read Blizzard designed Inferno to be super difficult, especially solo and maybe if you think you're geared enough you probably are not. |
quick question for monk or any other character.. does anyone know if the "reduce enemy damage" skills stack? |

Just unlocked inferno and I already died 3 times before leaving the town. :fuckthatshit: |
I noticed with my barb I had to totally change my stuff around to survive well in hell act 3 and above. I use to go for only dps, 2 hand frenzy socket everything with ruby lol. Now everything is socket with Vit cept weapons with ruby and I had to switch to 1h weapon with shield with bash and armor shout. team up with wizards with 25-30k+ dps, tank while they shoot that beam of death for quick kills haha. anyone upgrade blacksmith to lvl 9 yet? I think called tomb of secrets needed? in inferno act 1 and still haven't seen any drop yet |
Yeah the tome of secrets drops in inferno mode. I have a stack of about 40 right now. The problem is I can farm act1 inferno mode with maybe a few deaths here and there. But there's a huge.. huge jump in the type of gear quality you need to even consider taking on act2 as a barb. Whereas say a demon hunter and sorc to a lesser degree can solo inferno up to act 3 if they're cautious/lucky. A barb, if i so much as look at a boss mob in act2 inferno wrong I go flying. Not to mention the mobs get enraged if you take too long beating them down. I've seen decked out demon hunters and life regen energy shield sorcs only manage to take down a particular boss mob to 50% hp when it got enraged and just started insta-killing everyone in the area and healed itself back to 100%. I understand there's a challenge, but part of the draw of diablo2 was you could get your own gear if you played the end game enough. Right now the way its setup if you grind hell mode you get pretty terrible gear for the most part. I've been grinding act1 inferno with act2 inferno gear given to me by my brother who plays a wizard. But the gear that I get in act 1 inferno is nowhere near whats necessary for truly running act2. You cant even come close to the end game unless you auction house buy most of your gear. The way it seems to be setup is you have to use gear from higher acts to beat the lower act, and the only two ways you could do that is by having someone in the higher acts to hand you down gear, or by spending millions in the auction house, or real money when it actually comes out. |
I find that survivability really depends on who you play with. There are times when you are in public games and you team up with a tool who just kites into undiscovered areas of the map, and bring back 2 mobs. They don't really encourage you to tank alone either. Fact of the matter is, if you tank, you probably won't be doing alot of damage, so you are relying on the others to deal the damage. I am usually playing with a monk, that just vortex everything towards him, and I just spam-cast zombie bears behind him. And if you solo, and need a tank, grab a templar. -KC |
well right now I do about 11k damage with sword and board unbuffed. With beserker up I do about 35k damage. The problem isnt so much damage, its just not being able to take hits at all, even my companions they get rocked in the face almost instantly. Pretty much the only way you can play inferno right now is by kiting endlessly, and for a melee class its not exactly all that enjoyable. |
by berserker, do you mean mauraders rage? I actually never even used any battle rage shouts yet.. I think I'll try that out and see how it goes. 30% is good damage buff.. |
na not battle rage the wrath of beserker skill. Id suggest using the war cry shout armor plus with either inig or the last rune which ups ur resist by 50%. |
ohh right wrath of berserker lol, forgot bout that cuz I barely use it, yep the resist and inv shouts are very useful. |
|
yeah hell is easy as hell for me, pardon the pun loll.. I can solo diablo no problem, its act2 inferno onward lol thats the problem. Act1 inferno even I can do it, just have to die a few times on certain combinations of rare spawn mobs. Although im curious as to why you'd go with sidearm rather than smite or triumph. I was using this build in hell mode: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...ViP!eUa!YYbcbZ but since then i've switched it to in inferno mode: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...TkP!SVb!ZYZcbZ |
The Auction House is overloaded, laggy as hell right now, everything is delayed like 20 seconds... |
act 2 has always been my most hated and hardest act for my barb when entering a new difficulty, I also think its the most boring act, those bees are super annoying. act 3 is funnest and 4 is also easy and good for gear. hope I can finish act 1 inferno today so I can try out act 2 |

Damn auction house. Add me D. Cman333#1401 |
on a side note just read this: If true, I have to try it out when I get home lol. Inferno has been nerfed - Forums - Diablo III Apparently the passive 30% damage reduction for barbarians and monks wasn't working previously, but now it is. If so hopefully it'd make running inferno mode a bit more plausible. Rather than say getting one shotted by a leaper in act2. |
