I think the trick to Barb is to get "hit" as much as possible. Your strongest skill is revenge and to use it to its full potential you need to get hit. A shield is absolutely necessary for Barbs in inferno lol.

Barbarian is not a tank class its more of "mitigator" class.

I got a really well built barb now and ran through hell with 0 problems at all.

Diablo was a breeze I could just had to avoid the traps lol

It works better than my other build which mainly focuses on disintegrate and the orb with diamond skin but if I'm tired and I miss a teleport after a hit or there's input lag upon my pressing the teleport hotkey, then I'm dead 90% of the time it happens. My DPS has gone down, because I can nolonger push diamond skin and burn with disintegrate for a few seconds, but I feel like I can survive forever if the conditions are favorable. One thing I still have trouble with are the "fast" mobs because they literally bypass any kiting skill like blizzard. TP/fire-chain/extrahealth, etc are no prob tho.

I wish I could change up my skills with the nephalim buff, because the only way to counter these fast mobs are with frost nova, imo, but it is impractical to carry too many defensive skills so I haven't used frost nova since mid-nightmare, since blizzard in 90% of the situations is the best kiting tool with the 20AP rune you can spam it day and night anywhere on the screen.

I don't know if any of you have experienced input lag, but it's basically when you push a hotkey and either nothing happens and the command is overridden by a later command or it happens after a short delay. It's gotten me killed so many times with diamond skin and teleport it's getting annoying.

i've tried pally builds, dodge builds, crit builds, life steal builds (yes all my money went into buying yellow rares fitting to the build) ... and it appears as if i die just as fast in every build (or i should say pally build does last a little longer but i'm doing no damage)

yes i am aware i don't need to solo, but is monk really the only class that will have a NEAR impossible time soloing inferno?

just wondering from fellow rs monks, thoughts and feelings?

also i went back and forth from dual fist to 1H+Shield ... i really feel dual fist is better for soloing and holding a shield is in team games

What level is your guys' black smith? The drops are so crap for me I think I am going to be investing crazy amounts to craft my gear. Right now I'm level 52 and I am getting pwned in Hell. I can't WAIT for Inferno.

Don't level your blacksmith, I made that mistake. For the amount that I'm dropping on him, I could be getting upgrades that I can actually use on the AH

Ditto for the Gem dude. I've spent so much gold on removing gems, and combining them. Scored some Flawless Square cuts on AH for ~5k.

That's true, the Auction House is so saturated right now that you can score some pretty sweet deals. I picked up a rare chest armour with a flawless square cut green socketed for 3k, and I almost got another sweet helmet for 5k but my trigger finger was too slow and the AH lagged so by the time I tried to buy it, it was sold.

The hell mode gear may be cheap, but when u move up into inferno quality gear it comes at a huge price premium. Right now I'm sitting at about 600 resist to all with 8.5k armor and 37khp still get 5 shotted by mobs in act2 lol.

The decent 100+ str and 100+ vit resist all gear is all up in the millions.

Yeah lol, by the time I got my "1 million gold picked up" achievement, I only had 60k in my bank. WTF fuck blacksmith and fuck jewel. The fact that it starts costing 20K~30K~40K to upgrade to the next tier of jewel is retarded because AH sells for cheaper.

Best way to make cash is farm inferno (literally where ever you can get 5 stacks of neph buff up) and play the AH.

leveled up blacksmith to 10 and jewel to be able to make flawless squares....feel like i wasted all my money

i'm basically camping AH to flip some items for profit. made a good 500k in 2 days.

After posting my last comment, I played the AH and got some phat loot for cheap.

haha yea I'm a barb..act2 isnt easy, but I guess I'm always up for a challenge lol. Right now just farming the warden/butcher and helping friends who can't make it through hell mode do some asmodan runs and diablo kills so they can see what inferno is like lol.

Act 1 inferno is a stroll in the park these days haha.

i have 250 resit all 7k armor 33k hp

all for about 200k everything

The lower tier resist all/str/vit stuff I found at cost easily. The issue is now looking for gear with 100+str and 100+ vit.. with over 50 resist to all, its rare as it is, and usually costs at least half a mill. Since playing tonight I've been fortunate enough finding most of my gear, but I'm sitting at close to 700 resist to all.. 9-10k dps depending on how i itemize, and 38-42k hp with approx 8.5k armor.

I mean there are a few deals.. sometimes something pops in for 100k, but outside of that for inferno act2 onward quality gear it costs a lot lol. Still huntng for a 1k dps one hander too lol.

Which area r you farming inferno?

Was able to complete Act 1 Inferno as monk quite easily. Ditched the res stacking and went for dodge + armor seemed to work out ok. Haven't tried Act 2 yet
