Who's the best to farm for gear? I'm just starting Hell difficulty, but want some better stuff. Should I just run Diablo with 4 over and over?

How to farm Diablo on Nightmare as a Mage. Go with --> Glass Armor, Forst Shield, Nova, and Tele. Take glyphs for reduced damage, tele cool down reduc and whatever else, cant remember now. I've got about 20k of health in my tele gear and can jump through levels very fast, and never die! DPS gear is like 4.5k

Lol even in my non-ah terrible gear I rocked hell mode, what skills/passives are you using and what's your gear like?

Here's a tip i found out myself. If you have those macro keyboard. Set one of your macro key to a offensive skill. I'm using razer blackwindow keyboard so for me im playing a monk so i use Fist of thunder with thunderclap in one of the m1 key and delete the timing in between key press. Example it'll be something like this "4 (0.070) 4" so delete that (0.070). And i have it set to continuous playback until i press that key again to stop it. So now i don't have to keep holding the mouse key or click where i want to go. i just move my mouse where i want my character to go less clicking for me. Also whenever i want to attack i just mouse over the mob and my char's will do his thing. I notice i dish out more damage than usual with this set up. Since i don't have to press one of the skill key anymore i can concentrate on my other skill. But then again every keyboard is different. But for those with black window you should definitely give this a try.

Yeah I miss the old Diablo2 days of farming bosses, but if you think about it.. inferno mode is pretty much like d2's hell mode, except back then you could lvl past 60. They're pretty much forcing us to run hell mode as lvl 60s and the game's current 'hell' mode is just nightmare. I mean from Normal to Hell it was unbelievably easy, didn't have to think or have any tactics. Inferno, its a pain but its certainly doable.

How much damage reduction% do you have.. as in resistances. At first I felt the same a week ago when i first got into inferno, but Barbarians are highly gear dependent, but you can easily clear act1 inferno with stuff u find in hell mode act 4 or cheap ah gear. For the most part Act1 inferno is actually really easy unless you get unlucky with the mob combos, shielding, desecrate/plagued/nightmarish/waller isnt fun.

for reference this is my gear. I got a lot of it from farming act1, certain things I did get from the AH but pretty much boots/belt/pants/helm/gloves and all the rings/amulet are things I found on my own. I can get a 5 stack in act2, and tank decently except for champion mob nagas. That being said, some boss mobs I have to skip, but for the most part its manageable, just a bit challenging haha.

lol yeah, Im weary to move onto tier 15, cuz I dont like how the helmet looks haha.. but seriously I was gonna buy this nice tier 15 +all resist chest in the AH today, but by the time I scrounged up another 20k to get it got sold haha.

I guess right now I'll be aiming for a 1k dps one hander and tier 16 gear haha. Gonna take a while to grind that much money out lol.

I'll be grinding to beat belial today. Rest of act 2 was pretty easy cept 2 groups of mobs i had to skip but damn belial always seems near impossible for me... even in hell. I think its cuz you have to balance out aoe and dps skills for phases 2 and 3, not to mention a few defensive skills for his ground bombs.

My latency started spiking last night around 1am. Dunno if its just me.

to be honest i think its better this way

the "casual" gamer can still enjoy the game and do it all, while the "hardcore" player can go the extra step and do inferno

if anything I hope they dont tone it down which would kill d3 a bit..

perfect example is how WoW died once Blizz decided to make the game more towards the 'casual' players.. but many WoW players would clearly say that vanilla was the best, BC second due to the difficulty and the reward for being able to clear the hardest difficulty shown by gear

honestly, i'd try to play around with the skills tree to see what best suits you and your scenario.

imo, anything past act3 hell was hard for me (barb) but a little tweak and some new gear from the auction house it was pretty easy.

all i have to say is, make sure to buy gear with good all resist..

Just need a 800 dps 1h and ill be good for act2 inferno.... thsi 677 one aint cutting it... been farming a1 with a 2h really fast but all shit drops so far did over 20 butcher + warden runs

With 5 stacks nephalem got 3 rares butcher inferno. Act 2 is crazy hard stuck on 2nd quest lol. Rolled a dh lvl 50 now hopefully can score my barb some better gear
