How long have these things been on sale? I asked my manager friend about the ipad 2 (my dad wants one) but he suggested I grab these Touchpads cuz they're only $99. I thought it maybe a scam or a REALLY shitty product but figured if I hated it I could return it anyways so why not. So got two. After playing with it, I wanna buy it for some other people now too. He mentioned "most" stores were sold out, implying it's not completely gone. Maybe shipment just came in today. Who knows. I went to another location FS after and none on display, but I didn't ask any sales people though. Maybe they're sandbagging them for friends/family/staff.

His exact words were "you better get it right now before they're gone". Sounds like total scammy sales pitch right? LOL

If you REALLY want it maybe go to your closest FS and ask them to check which locations have it in stock. Then call the store for them to hold it.

i bought a 32 GB for my dad a week and a half ago at FS too.

stores ARE getting shipments in, VERY SPORADICALLY though. and employees wont advertise it either. its pretty much kept in house. only reason why i got one is cuz my buddy who works there paid for it so that he could hold it for me.

I'm thinking maybe they got new stock? I doubt they would purposely let stock sit for one month because it's in the inventory and all the other stores would know they have them in stock and send their customers to that store to pickup. I don't really know though. No harm in asking. I'd say where I got it from but I'm not sure if he wanted me to mention it. So if people really want it bad, go ask. If I can, I'll grab a bunch from my friends store IF they still have it and will allow me to buy more (unlikely though).

Currently, as a productivity device, the Playbook is pretty useless without a Blackberry phone to "bridge" with.

There are no contacts, no email, no calendar, no bbm, and no tasks list clients on the device unless you bridge it with a BB phone.

im hoping this touchpad will be able to tether/connect to my bb as well

from what i read though the touchpad dosent support AD HOC or whatever you call it

You guys know how i said I sent my TP into HP to be repaired/exchanged? I'll post the email I sent to the "CEO" yesterday, this has literally been the most frustrating/infuriating customer service I e ever had, I disliked HP to begin with but this is worse than anything incould imagine

Long story short, my touchpad went in to be exchanged by HP on the 8th and is now missing.. And trying to explain to a person in India the difference between missisauga Ontario and surrey BC has taken HOURS of phone calls..

This is a copy of the letter i sent that "somewhat" explains my situation:


Hello, My name is XXXXXXX and my phone number associated to my account is XXXXXXXXX i'm writing this message only as a last resort to show my absolute displeasure in the service ive been dealing with and continue to receive in an attempt to locate my 32GB HP Touchpad I sent in to be repaired/replaced over 2.5 weeks ago.

Right off the bat i was told that the turn-around for my touchpad to be repaired was going to be 3-5 business days, its now been 3 weeks and i have not heard anything regarding the touchpad, i've made over 10 phone calls to HP now in the last week with little to no success in getting ANY information, my order number associated with the repair is S1511040573414

now before you reply and give me the tracking number "1Z90557F8848821133" which was associated with the package I SENT to be repaired, i'll tell you now that that number is not the same number UPS uses to send the package BACK to me, 3 separate representatives told me this was the correct number and that it had been "received" yes, it has been received, BY TRC/HP CANADA IN MISSISSAUGA ONTARIO, WHERE IT WAS TO BE REPAIRED! not by myself..

After the HP reps told me they use the same tracking number for both me sending the touchpad back to HP, as well as sending the repaired product back to me, i contacted UPS regarding this situation, They laughed at me and said there is absolutely -NO- possible way you can have the same tracking number to send the product back to me so obviously the information these reps have is incorrect and HP still has my touchpad somewhere

THIS IS NOT A UPS PROBLEM, This is HP's problem clearly as a lack of information regarding my product, a missing product, or something else has some about, the bottom line is: I'm absolutely at my wits end as to who to speak to or what to do now, speaking with the rep's through the 1800 number is futile and a level 2 supervisor yesterday even told me once i explained my situation for the 5th time, that he would "Give me a call back in the next few hours to very least update me on the situation" surprise surprise, i received no phone call and am now on hold once again trying to talk to CS on the 1800 number..

I'm at my end of trying, I did not particularly like HP to begin with, but this is it, I will -NEVER- deal with HP again once i resolve this situation, whether i see my touchpad again or not, and I am going to be forwarding this information regarding the difficulties i've had in all my dealings with HP to as many friends/family as possible so they do not make the same mistake I did.

seems like f15 eagle is not available no more

i heard it runs 1.8-1.9 on one cpu and leaves the other cpu at 0 unless it needs to be used


other choices are warthog and f4 phantom

im using the warthog right now and switch between performace and ondemand options

solid 1.7ghz oc

i guess ondemand is good for saving battery? i just leave it on performance setting mostly
