I mean they're both ridiculous, but one's objectively uglier than the other.

I mean the ones that are on a model do look better I would hope. Whichever ones are on the hotter woman looks better lol.

They are so baggy and formless. Aka stupid. If you hide the contour of a woman’s legs you might as well add an extra 20lbs to her ass

whitev70r 08-02-2025 06:12 AM

on the topic of what to wear for funerals, lately, people are super casual ... was at one recently and you see jeans, golf shirts, like 0 intentionality to wear anything remotely better than as if guy was going to Costco .. wtf?

bcrdukes 08-02-2025 06:20 AM

"they must be from the far left and woke" :derp:

Crop top with wide baggy jeans I dig. But you’re right, a hot chick can wear anything and look hot lmao.

I can’t believe civic blues just compared a regular white chick with a model and called the models outfit more hot lol. If the model wore the other chicks outfit, it would have been nice as well

I mean that’s the goal though. Big wet butts are in.

Badhobz 08-02-2025 07:10 AM

I’m all for that shit but flaunt it bitch!!! Don’t cover it up by wearing a potato sack.

CivicBlues 08-02-2025 09:19 AM

Nah, those potato sack jeans still look dumb regardless of who they are on. See my previous comment re: Sydney Sweeney.

They basically only "work" - and I use that term lightly - on teens and early 20-somethings with stick figures because they draw attention to their tiny waists and give them an illusion of a bigger ass.

Tangent: Do any of you have a suit that's suitable for funerals? And if you don't what's your plan if someone drops dead? Since I almost never wear suits I only really have one suit - a dark blue one that's 7 years old that I've worn maybe 10-12 times. I have two tailored dress shirts for them and that's my entire formal attire (my wedding suit in a light grey could technically be used if needed for a formal event - that's 11 years old)

The worst part about that too is that if you're a lifter, your tailored suits never fit right or the same the every few years you have to actually wear one.

Socks with sandals and slides too.

mikemhg 08-02-2025 12:15 PM

Crew socks all day. My buddies used to clown me for wearing them, now they're cool.

No show socks are stupid as hell -- they slide down so half the time you're walking around trying to pull them shits from outta your shoes.

Zero missed shipments with Temu so far. Probably had 4-5 shipments by now? They also offer credit if your shipment is late.

Nah, I like them, I'd wear NO SOCKS if I could but then my feet stink. Best part about no show socks is how cheap they are, can just throw them out and buy a new pack of 5 pair for like $3 at the fucking dollar store.

Any of you guys recently attended events requiring "cocktail attire" ? A quick Google search yields basically a suit, and I'm not sure I'm seeing anything out of the ordinary. Just don't show up in a tuxedo or Kirkland Brand gear is all it is. Thoughts?

I think when it comes to dress codes you should take it as seriously as the type of host that is putting it in place and the guests who will attend. If its someone you know who is laid back and most of the guests arent the type to take the code too seriously then maybe dial it back as well. Ive been to a few weddings that specified black tie but then you think of who will be attending and its lots of aunties and uncles that don’t even read the dress codes or are too old or fob to care.

If youre in a real professional environment with mad men type of people then maybe take the dress codes quite literally. My preference is always to dress down one notch that way i never look like an overdressed douche, but i can always be sure there will still be many people dressed even more casual than myself so I find that to be a pretty safe rule, especially in Vancouver but probably also Toronto to some degree.

bcrdukes 08-02-2025 01:58 PM

Knowing the host, I’ll need to show up in black tie formal. Who can lend me their Patek Phillipe?

Been getting some strong "2/10 elbows too pointy, would not bang" vibes in here lol

Re socks:

As long as you guys aren't wearing those ankle socks with the little poofy ball on the back end, I won't judge.

keifun 08-02-2025 02:18 PM

Crew socks reminds me of older uncles and Grandpa's. Cargo shorts, crew socks up to their calves, and white Nike Air monarchs, extra wide size.

No show socks tend to slip off easily, so ankle socks are the way to go. Costco has Fila and Puma ones for a good price.

whitev70r 08-02-2025 02:22 PM

what is dress code for the Sept meet?
