I was 'on the bench' when I met my now wife. Which means I was working about 1 hour a day but getting paid in full. I didn't find out until after I was married, but she thought I was recently unemployed at the time. lol.

You don't have to live with prostitutes, if one gets annoying or disappointing you just go to another one... they don't take half your shit when they're mad, no compromising, no one to ask/get approval from when you want to do anything :)

You could literally be making 80-100k and they'll think of you as poor. If you're 60-79k, you're destitute and not even worth acknowledging. They fail to see what negatives of chasing men in the top 1% because they tell each other they deserve it based on absolutely nothing.

Any guy who just wants peace and happiness will very easily choose to be single rather than deal with any of this nonsense. More and more of the younger gen guys want absolutely nothing to do with dating. Choosing their friends, family and personal happiness instead. Can't say I blame them one bit. Men are always labelled as being the toxic ones but vast majority of us just want simplicity and peace no matter the type of relationship that may be.

It's most definitely a Vancouver problem, it occurs in other cities, but I'd say it's quite pronounced here. We've always theorized it's due to the multicultural/immigrant nature of the city. Indians, Persians, Asians, of which we have an abundance, all tend to carry that conservative culture, they are not Germanic/Western in nature, which carries the mentality of equality between genders.

Sprinkle on all the man-children who live at home and come from the above families as first or second generation Canadians, and use money as a replacement for personality. Sprinkle in an abundance of drug dealers (also often from the same diaspora) that also tend to throw money around at girls, and you have a recipe for Vancouver dating, and unrealistic anecdotal expectations :lol
