are you not sending yours in because you are still getting decent battery life?
the replacement program is out there because these batteries may bulge, overheat and explode... ouch, fire in your pocket!!!

i have two broken units.
one with a broken screen and another that is just dead (possibly hard drive).
i guess they will be sending me a box by mail. should i send it to them anyways? lol
i miss using this ipod (years ago!).

I talked to a CSR and they said it might be a newer nano or a replacement of at least the same 1g version. You will receive a new casing though, which is nice.
