Got 2 pairs myself. Used to squat and deadlift in socks. Those days are long gone.

I highly recommend them.

Poll is up for RS Challenge #2, vote vote vote

edit: Quite a few people have already voted. Please vote if you haven't already! I will be closing the poll Wednesday night.

There seems to be a strong favour towards one of the options

Instant you're probably the one who voted for 1RM bench

But in all honesty, I kinda am curious to see everyone's 1 rep max for the #1 gym rat exercise (especially instant, red sir and hal0)

i'm looking to get a Fish Oil and Greens supplement - any recommendations?

also i'm taking orange triad by controlled labs. is this still a good multi? it's time to re-order

@skinnypup - if you see this, I know you suggested some (fish oil / greens) for me before when I was looking for a multi, but I can't find that post anywhere mind, to share it again?

I've been looking into this the past week. I've found the following to be great value:

NOW Ultra Omega 3 = Good value for what you get. Great reviews.
CL Orange OxiMega Fish Oil = Good profile, great reviews.
CL Oximega Greens = It tastes like spearmint. Also great reviews.

I think Orange Triad is a solid multi. There's a stack on bb.com that includes Fish Oil, Greens, and the Multi for about $60-70, 60 servings of the fish oil and greens and 90 servings of the multi.

There's also stacks that includes only 2 of them depending on what you want.

I'm using NOW Omega-3 softgels. $8 for 200softgels (100 servings) back ordered on bb.com at the moment though. There's also NOW Ultra Omega-3.

Hey guys, workout noob here. I just started working out at the end of last year (oct/nov) and have put on 20 lbs since then (135-155). I still think that I'm still quite skinny but I'm not sure if I should continue bulking or if I should cut for a bit then bulk again? Advice? Thanks in advance! I'm 5'8 if that helps.

been about 3 months since I set up my home gym in my garage

I took it slowly but now I'm back to where I was before the long layoff:

315 lbs deadlifts 3x6
185 lbs bench 3x6
225 lbs squat 3x7

Going light this week to deload + get my sleep back in order...been getting under 7 hours of sleep a night and reached the point where I realized if I don't get my shit together I'm seriously compromising my health. Now I'm in bed by 10 or 10:30 (as opposed to 12:30) and up at 7 and feel fantastic compared to before.

Can't wait to get back into this next week to smash my old PRs.

Keep clean bulking don't dirty bulk you don't have enough mass to eat dirty

+1 to eating clean.

at this point, any more mass you put on will be fat mass..

You just need to make sure you eat cleaner foods and train hard for at least 6-8 months before you go through the bulk/cut process. Without a certain level of conditioning and strength, your hormones will send all the nutrients to your fat cells leaving none for the muscles

how lean are you right now, and what is your bf%?

Oh wow thanks, I didn't know anything about hormones sending nutrients. Does this mean I should just tweak my diet to cleaner foods and not worry about cutting until next year?

I'm not sure about BF% since the online calculators vary quite a bit. I'm 5'8, 29-30" waist, 155 lbs if that helps.

Hmm. I thought the greens would be a pill but it's not. Are there any that come in pill form? easier to take a capsule than to mix stuff in the mornings/work.
