*Ahem* Please excuse me while I put on my douche hat. Get ready for a stupid Porsche story. :fuckyea:
Last Sunday before leaving the track, I noticed a plastic piece dangling on the front driver side just under the bumper. I had to tuck in the plastic piece to avoid it ripping off on the drive home.
Fast forward to today, I jacked up the car to find out what it was. Turns out the front fender liner had snapped off likely due to age and/or scraping the road. I'll have to place an order to replace the broken piece. You can see the liner dangling.

At the end of the 2024 track season, I got bumped to run solo in a faster run group with my local PCA club. I'm getting faster and more proficient around the track, but I'm still using stock brake pads. So in anticipation for the 2025 track season, I decided to jump on a modification popular among the 986/987 and 996/997 track crowd by replacing the stock brake ducts with the 997 GT3 brake ducts. The 997 GT3 brake ducts help direct a larger volume of air onto the brakes to cool the pads and rotors down. It was a cheap mod and easy to replace, so I took advantage of the weather today to swap them out.
Ordering these from the Canadian dealerships was a pain in the ass. I thought I would do the right thing and support my local dealerships, but sadly, most dealers don't know how to order them (typical douchebag service) and get super confused about how to get them, so they just gave up and said, "We can't get them." All of the Porsche dealership in the GTA couldn't help me get these. WTF.
After doing some research, it turns out the GT3 brake ducts are not part of the regular Porsche catalogue, but instead, from Porsche Motorsport. They are a different entity and have their own parts catalogue, further reinforcing the Porsche douchebag stereotype. I found out how to order it for them by contacting Porsche Motorsport North America in Carson, CA directly. They reached out to the dealer and started finger pointing at each other for their incompetence, I gave up and just ordered them from FCP Euro since it was faster to get them and cheaper, despite the exchange and the risk of getting throw in US CBP jail thanks to Mr. Trump (the trip to Buffalo, NY was very pleasant, by the way.) I found out that for the local dealers to get this stupid part, it would have to come from Germany to Porsche Motorsport in Carson, CA, then shipped up to Toronto. I was like, WTF is this? Stupid trash Porsche.
