do it!!! i want to be a poser and do the same with my road bike. |
Chill with that salute. |
I hunted down the source of the coolant leak, I thought it was the rad but even with it removed coolant was still coming out. So I pulled the crossmembers and managed to get eyes on the leak. After pulling a ton of stuff apart, I got this out: https://i.imgur.com/1MDKibu.jpeg Which leaves the engine bay looking like this: https://i.imgur.com/0sFXj2x.jpeg To get access to here for the stupid cap/hose: https://i.imgur.com/ZiXg4CH.jpeg |
Wow. It's actually just a rubber plug for a coolant port in the motor? I wonder what the original function was for the coolant passage. |
Not sure of this is the famous hose from hell or just a random plug from hell. :lol |
No, the hose from hell and the hose from hell on earth are up behind the turbo and oil filter. They are much easier to access on a Celica than an MR2. Regardless, I keep thinking that I want another ST185 until I see stuff like this. |
Today was the perfect day to finally install an aftermarket steering wheel I had sitting around for the Miata. I tried my best to not break any tabs off of the steering wheel trim and I'm happy to report that I only broke one! :fullofwin: https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...39841a663c.jpg |
Holy shit, so BEEFY. |

It looks like a huge mess but it only took about 1.5hrs to remove everything with normal hand tools, and a good chunk of that was fiddling around to get the other hard lines out without removing the turbo, so I can replace the missing one and go back to the stock oil cooler. |
It looks like a huge pain in the ass, but I’m sure it was very satisfying to be able to diagnose and fix it. I love finding a problem and solving it. |
It was at first, I couldn't see where it was coming from at all so I had to pull the crossmembers off and even then I could barely see it from below. Reaching from above I scraped the hell out of my arm just to get one finger on it. The trick with these is don't try to squeeze into awkward spots, most stuff comes out easily so just keep removing things that are in your way until it's accessible. |

Scrapped |
Goddamn those seats and paint. So when you are fixing the suspension and trim bits - how much of this stuff is available new/worth getting new? Rims look like they were factory machined more than painted but that gets expensive |
Damn those seats, looks so comfortable. |
Bust out the old cassette collection and head down to the nearest Radwood show. |
dude, you are doing it too fast and is that a heat pump in your garage? any how, nice job |

Correct on wheels, they are machined, but i aint paying 1000$+ to re machine them and clear. Quote:
Yes, see post 457 https://www.revscene.net/forums/7172...-today-19.html |
Where do you guys find these and why, do you like stand outside a funeral home? |
Retirement homes are GOLDMINES, all you gotta do is suck on some expired hags toes for a few minutes |
:suspicious: the old hag's children already sold off personal belongings and pocketed all the money the moment they started the process to throw the hag into the home. DONK be sucking toes as a fetish instead. |
^this is why nobody hugged you |
