inv4zn 10-14-2012 04:09 PM

Pre-ordered from BB. $50 refundable deposit haha.

Didn't bother to check if it was the white or grey one...should have thought of that actually haha. oh well

spaceman 10-14-2012 04:36 PM

I wonder if Rogers is being a dick and charging more just because they feel like it or if there is actually a difference in hardware. i might buy the note2 from bell and unlock it too use on Rogers instead..

c3m 10-14-2012 05:21 PM

hmm interesting
Rogers is selling it for 249 with 3-years contract
Telus / Bell is at 149 with 3-years contract

I doubt any difference in hardware. They'll probably adjust their price to match others eventually.

Could be plus the $50 preorder you pay no?
Rogers is usually $50 more expensive, and then they do the $50 rebate.

Or so I thought.

But if it is indeed $149, yay for me! :fullofwin:

249 rogers
199 telus/bell

Samsung Galaxy Note II no-term pricing will be $729.99, 3-year set at $199.99 | MobileSyrup.com

exdee 10-16-2012 11:03 AM

makes sense cause rogers is 249.99 before 50$ rebate

inv4zn 10-16-2012 11:58 AM

Ah, damn. The $150 price point was quite appealing...albeit unreasonable lol

c3m 10-16-2012 01:53 PM

Device price is 729.99...

At this point are we honestly surprised that high-tech devices cost $700?

c3m 10-16-2012 02:05 PM

I'm not surprise that it cost $700 for the rest of the world because the prices changes within the first month and there is actually a drop in prices as it gets "old" but for Canada the price tag stays there until the device gets taken out of production

I look at my 1Ghz dual core netbook and think...what the fuck did i buy this for????

I sometimes have trouble believing I have so much computing power in my pocket.

My first PC experience was a 33 Mhz laptop. Yes, 33. my phone cost more than my whole current PC.

asian_XL 10-16-2012 11:15 PM

^ same over here, except the screen size and input method, pretty much any device around me can perform the same job. Even my NAS has a 1.6ghz processor!

Everyday I carry 8 cores in my bag (one Tegra3 and one Exynos)

spaceman 10-18-2012 04:05 PM

I'm having trouble deciding if I should by from either wind or rogers. I feel like the phone isn't complete without a chunk of data, but data is slow on wind and expensive as hell on rogers...might just stick to pay as you go from Rogers since there's wifi at ubc lol

Mobilicity's network upgrade to 21Mbps set to go live the "last week of October" | MobileSyrup.com

They might pull a Galaxy S3 by having different models (ie: LTE vs No LTE)
So if you don't plan to use LTE then I would suggest just getting the international version

Simplex123 10-18-2012 11:16 PM

They're all on exynos 4412 this time around right? Just with different LTE bands. So why would he get an international one? Might as well wait for the price to drop on CL and get a brand new one that people are getting off contract to sell.

Because he said he is going to use wifi at ubc and thinking about wind / pay as you go on rogers.
Price for international version has dropped quite a bit

kayceeee 10-19-2012 12:17 PM

inv4zn 10-19-2012 07:10 PM

Just got my dock/charger + spare battery lol. ~$40ish for the set from Korea.

Both are included in box in Korean version (not sure about international). Obviously not here lol.

impactX 10-19-2012 07:23 PM

Ordered the both the grey and white LTE version for me and my wife... the white version is ready to be picked up and I have to wait another 2 weeks for the grey version...
