Wind will be getting it in todays shipment and I will be having one set aside for me. Fuck the higher price cause today I got customer service and a proper ETA.

There are multiple versions

International 3G
International LTE

North America LTE - AT&T, Rogers, Bell Telus
North America AWS - T-Mobile, Mobilitcity, Wind

To make sure the phone is unlocked, put a sim card in other than Rogers/Fido and the phone would kindly prompt you to input the unlock code. However, unlocking a Samsung phone is very easy

Not sure but the one I went to at work said a shipment is coming in and I'm pretty sure that if the website has stock, all stores should have at least a few.

What I'm doing is a TAB purchase and cancelling after a month so the total cost is still $750. (399.99 for the phone, and cancellation total is like 349.99)

Here's my dilema.

I am on a decent Rogers Retention plan with $30 in credits per month. Credits expire in Dec and my contract expires Sept 2013. Early upgrde fee is $14X and $35 admin fee for the phone. After all is said and done, the phone would cost me $380ish before tax.
If that is the case, why wouldn't I just outright buy the phone, but then comes to my next issue. My credits expire and the first CSR was playing hardball and wouldn't negotiate the credits or waiving the early upgrade fee. In her own words, I haven't reached the point where she can waive the early upgrade fee. I asked her when that was and she said when my contract expires. :suspicious:
I know I was wrong, but I then asked her what she was smoking cause when my contract expires, there is no more early upgrade fee. She isn't waiving shit.

This is when she starts talking to me with a sarcastic tone and then I just hung up on her.

I got the phone boys. Will post a picture shortly. I'm starting to dig the Titanium Grey... though I really want the white...

I swear to god, Samsung is fuckin' trollin us with this phone to see what the actual demand is for them. If they have sold over 3 million worldwide in 37 days, I highly believe this will outsell the iPhone 5 by x-mas time.

I'm just surprised you didn't get them to waive it and provide credit based on your tenure with Rogers... How long ago was your last upgrade? It seems crazy the amount you have to pay for the phone!

Last upgrade was 2 years ago when I got my I4 and sold it to get an SGS.

I know I can do much better than what the first CSR offered because she gave me nothing. Hard to play ball when she isn't willing to do anything, which is typical, hence my fustration with her.

The hell??? I upgraded last year in May and I still was able shave off the upgrade fees with additional credits. I hope you get your stuff waived. If they didn't do anything for me, I would have left for Wind already.

Like I said, right off the bat she wasn't willing to play ball. She was following the standard protocol and didn't bother to listen to what I was asking for. I asked to renew the contract first, nothing mentioned about the phone. I didn't want her to think I had a phone in mind, to get some leverage over her. Next step is to call retentions directly.

congrats! at first i wanted the grey one too, but then thought it looked bland and since i had a white iphone4s, thought i want the white too, but now im loving the grey!

i have no clue if they will force the plan on you to buy. historically yes. YMMV

then again really, you can cancel any time with no penalty.
