I have a feeling Kassian will be a much better player this season. He'll have had a full offseason training regimen, Canucks style. He'll have training camp , pre-season games etc. to learn team tendencies... lets hope I'm right!

Same. If he plays a full season for us, I predict a 15g 15a ceiling this year.

IN ON 2!

jack3d 06-12-2012 10:05 PM

as far as our free agent forwards and defense, can we safely assume guys like pahllson isnt coming back because he's considering retirement, weise may not be back, rome, and salo may be retiring.

salo retiring is a question i wonder every year :lol at this point, after all the surgeries and injuries, he isnt even human anymore.

snowball 06-12-2012 10:42 PM

Hopefully we can get someone to play with kesler, booth was a try and that didn't work, if only we could afford parise.... :(

mb_ 06-12-2012 10:59 PM

Gonna be a crazy off-season!

Hondaracer 06-12-2012 11:00 PM

why cant we?
if marty retires.....would NJ consider taking Luongo off our hands for the rights of Parise + another player....???

And with Roberto's cap space out of the picture, i'm sure we can fit parise in.....and maybe parise would take a discount to play with this Olympic linemate....Booth, Kesler, Parise...what would be a sick line...would rival the twins for our "1st line".

Grandmaster TSE 06-13-2012 12:12 AM

ifl

spoon.ek9 06-13-2012 12:15 AM

I laughed at the suggestion that the Canucks should consider bringing Wellfed back :fuckthatshit:

xeryusx 06-13-2012 12:27 AM

Raymond for LA Kings' Pia Toscano?

I just saw my PVR'd Jimmy Kimmel..they have the whole Kings roster drinking from the cup.

Luongo for the rights of parise?
NOT A CHANCE

Parise is UFA, could come free

Osaka 06-13-2012 02:54 AM

Parise, a Canuck... wouldn't that be something

Vansterdam 06-13-2012 04:00 AM

Please get rid of raymond

Mike Oxbig 06-13-2012 04:46 AM

I bet murd0c was stoned when he made this thread :nyan:

2012 and 2013 thread should not be made until #1 or #35 is traded, so we can talk building our team from goalie out

mb_ 06-13-2012 08:19 AM

Who are your guys' locks for next season?

Mine would be
Twins
Burr
Kes
Higgins
Hansen
Lapierre

Hamhuis
Edler
Bieksa

Salo if he doesn't retire
Maybe Booth
Hopefully we can keep both Lu and Schneids

punkwax 06-13-2012 09:15 AM

I think Ballard played his best D down the stretch. People need to stop focusing on his salary. The Canucks didnt write that contract and if he lasts, the next one won't be as much of a cap hit.

Not really racist! 06-13-2012 09:29 AM

get rid of booth, let raymond walk (rfa)

Durrann 06-13-2012 09:38 AM

we need a new #1 line
i think a lot of teams have twins figured out by now

i'm down for that. just go back to throwing in a big guy with some hands and you're good to go. anson carter did it and he sucked.

kristianhay 06-13-2012 10:14 AM

Draft day is next Friday.. it will be interesting to see who the Canucks pick. Any thoughts on who they will pick with their current pick (assuming they don't trade up, trade it away, etc)?

b0unce. [?] 06-13-2012 10:16 AM

grab pk subban's brother :lol, i think he's in the draft this year

kristianhay 06-13-2012 10:40 AM

Do not want another tendy haha.

Henrik Samuelsson seems to be on a lot of mock drafts around the area of the Canucks.

Big gritty forward who isn't afraid to get into the dirty areas.

Quote:

Samuelsson has come to the Oil Kings and has fit in very nicely thus far. Samuelsson’s big frame compliments the smaller stature skilled forwards the Oil Kings have and adds an element to their lineup they were sorely missing. Offensively, he doesn’t have the flair that many of the offensive forwards in this draft have, but his value as a big body in front of the net and someone will who go to the dirty areas is of tremendous value. He’s already been suspended twice so far in his short WHL career, but the grit and size he brings to the lineup makes him a very interesting player for NHL teams. With a strong showing in the playoffs, expect Samuelsson to continue to ascend up the draft rankings.
