Does the passport get an update? I thought it was already on 3.1. I got my Telus update for my Z10 and Q10

Sure does, it applies to all bb10 phones. Passport comes with 10.3.0 stock.

Theres some screen flickering problems with 10.3.1

4 new phones this year, first is BlackBerry leap which is a low-mid tier device that replaces the z3, dual curved display phone with a keyboard (a slider), another keyboard and a Porsche design phone.

yeps, i am excited for the slider. i hope this is a prototype and that they will make better changes to thin it out a bit. Did they reveal what the other keyboard phone would look like?

No they didn't show the other keyboard and blackberry said they will license any of their patents meaning everything including the keyboard.

Looks like I need to buy a US phone this year, in addition to my Canadian phone. I've got a Z30 up here, was thinking passport for down there. Maybe I should wait?

Does anybody know where to BlackBerry fixed? I cracked my screen on my Z30. Lucky I have my Q10, I do prefer the qwerty

Colleague of mine had his Z30 screen replaced by VanCell Repairs on E. 29th Ave and Rupert a few months back. Turnover was pretty quick and he said they used a genuine OE Blackberry screen.

Not sure of price though. I'd ask but he's out of the country on vacation.

anyone else having freezing issues with 10.3.1?

My Z30 worked perfect before the upgrade, now the touchscreen occasionally stops responding. Also, texting freezes the photo after typing one character, randomly and inconsistently.

Restarting doesn't fix either issue. Just letting the phone sit for a while seems to.

They ended up pulling the update for the Q and Z10 due to various complaints (nothing from what you listed), but it could be related? I have a z30 that didn't seem to be affected at all though...

Having an issue and with my Q10 I just got a message to say that my SIM card full. can't store any more messages...

Does this mean I need to delete SMM texts, emails that I have, pictures etc?? As I noticed that I lost a few on my contacts off my phone or is there a way to get a bigger SIM card?

I upgraded to the Classic and LOVE it.

Thinking of getting the Classic too. Currently have a Z30. Dumb and backwards idea? I just never once play games or watch videos on my phone so I'm not too sure what I need a 5" screen for anymore. I don't bang out 200+ emails a day though, more of a moderate 10-20 emails per day user who just likes the feeling and accuracy of keys.

It's actually extremely easy to do it yourself. I fixed mine in 15 minutes for a $40 part. Shops were quoting me $150+ to do it...smh

I chose the Classic over the Z30 not for any reason other than that I prefer the accuracy of keys. I held onto the Bold 9900 for years for that reason too. So I would say that's a perfectly intelligent and forward thinking reason to change devices.
