No technical knowhow required. Basically plug and play and you're set to go and download apps as you would on any Android device. Caveat- not every Google Play store app works. Play services framework isn't functional on the device, but the majority of apps I've used work without any issue. |
For those who don't know, once you install the Snap app, it basically works as an android app world. Im running so many android apps now, I cant imagine what Im missing out on. You know, for a company that has supposed to have been going under for the last 3 years, in the 1 year I've had my Z10, there have been like 6 major software updates and 10.2.1 and 10.3.0 when it comes, is a very good OS. 10.0.0 was definitely a turd by comparison, but things are very smooth and feature rich now. I've got a good feeling about BB going forward, no doubt they seriously tanked, but Im sure they have bottomed out and have positioned themselves well for a turn around in late 14/15. The next round of premium hardware (q20/30 and z50?) are going to get some attention. They wont top apple or android in popularity, but the products they offer work fantastic for me. Glad I stuck around. |
I got the Z30 and gave my SO the Nexus 5 and after a day of using it , she said wow android sucks to communicate on and i told her the same thing when i bought the Nexus 5. Blackberry 10 is the best OS to do business and communicate on hands down , no competition. Everything feels like its already open and you dont have to open an app to reply to anyone that has send you a message. |

To get forever sync time frame for Gmail, you have to delete and re-add your gmail account on the device. Then follow these steps: Settings -> Accounts -> Add account -> Advanced -> gmail -> initial retrieval amount -> select forever You owe me lunch |

Setting this will sync emails all the way back from 10+ years ago? Or does it still only receive new emails, but hang onto emails forever? |
It means it syncs every email the you ever got on the account |
^ wow, thank you!!! |
:) If anyone needs help with BB10 , i am the grandmaster max level 9000 |
So although I've never found that I really needed more apps I'll give sideloading some stuff a chance - what are the apps you guys are actually sideloading that fill a need/work better than the bb versions? |
Wow, very impressive knight604. Props Posted via RS Mobile |
@brianrietta, I haven't side loaded any apps because I either found better or it is already there. |
i agree with you guys about bb 10. The problem is, which i hope they solve real soon, getting a phone into peoples hands so that they can see how good it really is. Until they can do that, they won't really regain the non-business market again. I love my z10 and q10, wouldn't change them for an iphone or samsung. |

The rumor's Chen is releasing a Q20 sometime 4Q? Posted via RS Mobile |
Yeah but I would wait, if you like the bigger screen , in 2015 q30 with 4.5 inch. He wants people to know that the q20 will be called "the classic" |
I just read how he wants it to be referred as "classic" I personally think it sounds better. Oh man tough call, Z30 now and wait out for the "Q30" ?? |
