London 2012 Summer Olympics

10 days or so away. Not planning on watching it, but I always get into it and get caught up in the frenzy.

Cheering for our Canadian athletes, of course.

I'm actually looking forward to rowing events and synchronized swimming :fullofwin:

i love olympics time. theres always something to watch and theres a buzz in the air, it wont be like 2010 obviously but its still a fantastic time. its nice being about to turn the TV on and see coverage for a few weeks.

i still get a warm feeling thinking back to 2010 watching the 11pm news (or was it 10pm olympic news?) and seeing the results for the day. man that was a good time.

sucks how most events start in the middle of the night and are over by mid afternoon for us tho.

Bolt Phelps and soccer

beach volleyball, holy crap, how the hell did I forget about that? Tanned bodies stretching, diving, leaning over, legs apart with hands up in air, and..............

actually, it gets boring after a while.

Boxing used to be good, but officiating kind of killed it for me.

Yodamaster 07-17-2012 10:29 PM

I was really hoping for the qwop event this year.. oh well

bloodmack 07-17-2012 10:29 PM

this is only the 2nd time i've read something about it (1st being the announcement of where they'll be). What fucking frenzy? lol

SkinnyPupp 07-17-2012 10:33 PM

I used to love the olympics, but when you never watch live TV anymore, it's not quite the same.

I hope people rip more events and post them in full HD. I would really like to check them out. I love gymnastics, those people are amazing. Would like to watch more of the combat sports too, like judo and wrestling.

kevin7352 07-17-2012 10:41 PM

looking forward to both indoor and beach volleyball and weightlifting!

Sky_High 07-18-2012 12:21 AM

Other than the kick off event by Coca Cola at Canada Place last Fri/Sat,

I bet you're waiting for the hammer to fall. ;)

Hondaracer 07-18-2012 06:03 AM

I only hope for the worst for London after they tried to rip Vancouver so hard during 2010

dangonay 07-18-2012 06:21 AM

^ That's the British for you. They did the same thing at the Commonwealth games too. There was that one athlete who finished way back for Canada and his fans were cheering him on for putting in a good effort, and some ass clown British reporter was criticizing us for cheering someone who didn't even make the podium.

punkwax 07-18-2012 06:24 AM

I'll probably be more into the Olympics than ever before because of 2010.

And yes, womens beach volleyball.

MR_BIGGS 07-18-2012 06:24 AM

Bolt will be there, but he didn't win the Nationals.
