Front disc brake rubbing substantially? You can tell if the pads are red hot after a ride, pretty fucking dangerous I have to say.

Did you recently change the front brakes, if you have. Sometimes people forget the anti-rattle clips and that usually causes it.

dont think its any of those things, I ve road 100 kms straight and didnt have this issue.

chirping only starts when the wheel is rolling, not when the brakes are applied or anything. as soon as the wheel starts rolling it chirps. lol.

I took it for a spin again and the sound isnt there anymore.

kind of weird.. as I didnt change anything recently.

check the front fender, see if it has been rubbing..

could also be the axle bearings..

do you have a front stand? put the front up and spin the wheel by hand. see if you can replicate the sound.

ripped the pocket bike apart tonight and started doing some painting on it. mostly as a test as i want to see if a few layers of brushed on paint can be sanded down to a smooth finish. my current landlords are VERY against any spray paints and im trying to stay in their good books... ignoring the fact i have two motorcycles incomplete disassembly under the porch lol

I suspected the fender rub as well, I dont have a bike stand atm.

I hope the sound dont come back.. it really bugs me.

Yes the jacket ripped but his only scratch/injury was on his knee. He was waring regular jeans.

The jacket did its job. Textile is generally one crash and done.

That is why you wear leather.
Or just make sure you are wearing a back protector under your textile jacket.

mine works great, I read somewhere that they fixed the issue.

Are you going to wear scuffed leather jacket?

If not then save money and buy textile. Also there are now textiles that out preform leather the 800 and 1000 class.

There is nothing wrong if the leather jacket has a scuff.
Plus there is a reason why leathers are required when at a track.

His jacket catches on the clutch lever as he goes down, otherwise it would have been fine.

The reason for leathers at the track is tradition.

Yes it used to be safety as 'textiles' would not hold up, but that has changed in the past few years.

For drag bikes yes leather is used due to flame resistance and abrasion.

You are both correct and incorrect relating to tech-fabrics surpassing leather. Off the top of my head, the highest rated piece of gear to date is a Cordura/ Aramid hybrid fabric with a 11s@ 60km/h skid time -- CE-level 2 requires slide time over 7 seconds (to date there are probably 15+/- jackets on the market that meet this certification). As a note: most, if not all GP riders suits are custom offerings, employing materials generally not offered to general public (due to cost).

There are major issues however with non-leather offerings. I'm going to be lazy and generalize:

1. General aerodynamics. Leathers can be tailored closely against the human form as they intrinsically have decent stretch capabilities whereas textile garments, due to fabric limitations cannot until the technology improves. Yes there are decent to superior fabrics which could do this but at this moment in time they would be incredibly discriminatory in pricing. Also, a large portion of aramids especially Kevlar based material) are VERY UV-sensitive and will break-down over time.
2. Tactile quality is horrid being incredibly stiff -- this affecting overall rider responsiveness.
3. Leather garments can be repaired more easily so typically can survive multiple crashes. (Try and find a custom-dyed 1000 Cordura to match your garment online. Hint: It's impossible) Leather utilized as exterior layer can be augmented with multiple layers of less visually appealing leather or cheap-tech fabrics (like Kevlar) at a lower inclusive cost.
4. Overall sex appeal. No contest.

the gf's gsxr needs new ones due to damage, and i heard pazzo is manufactured out in langley. figured best to support a local business. are most of them universal, aside from length and colour/material?
