^ I dunno what to say.

604STIG 04-28-2014 02:26 PM

Only takes the blink of an eye. Good reminder for everyone as to how quickly shit goes down on a bike.

Sunfighter 04-28-2014 03:42 PM

I think that's a great video ... not because somebody was critically injured but rather because, like 604STIG says, it shows how quickly something terrible can happen at certain speeds.

Sunfighter 04-28-2014 03:43 PM

Also - GoPro cameras are indestructible.

i just find it hilarious that even going at a very high rate of speed, he made the act of paying attention about fourth or fifth on his list of things to do.

no sympathy. same as this one.

It is a reminder that there is a time and a place and the highway is not the place as he found out.

I'm not really sure how he expected that to go well.

1992 Suzuki 600 Katana

Can i get some input on this bike ?

It has 36000kms on it

I emailed the guy to see if it was still available and this is what he wrote.

I bought the bike in January of this year for my son to learn on, unfortunately he is too frightened to ride it and I have no room in my garage for it as I have my bike in there too. The bike has 36000km on it and we only put 43km on it since I've owned it. The previous owner put a new rear tire on it and it starts and runs good. It has no issues that I can see.

Cheers

fyi i sold someone a 2001 gsxr600 for $3000 last year. $2000 for 92' seems kinda expensive.

rexsomnii 04-29-2014 11:08 AM

maybe low ball him down to 1500 ?

Raid3n 04-29-2014 03:51 PM

and 01 f4i is around 3k as well. if you can spare the extra money, i recommend one of those, FI is worth the extra money imo

Klobbersaurus 04-29-2014 05:22 PM

i agree with charlie, last year i sold someone a 2001 gsxr 600 for $1000

racerman88 04-29-2014 06:00 PM

I dropped my bike off today at imperial for the 12k maintence check. As I was outside i talked to another rider and we had a quick chat about gear. He talked about how important buying some ear plugs are and that if you don't you'll regret it when your older. Ear plugs were something I never really though about. How many of you guys have ear plugs when you ride?

320icar 04-29-2014 09:52 PM

Absolutely used ear plugs with my ruckus. But it was essentially straight piped. Yes use ear plugs. Annoying at first but once you start using them you'll never want to ride without em

any trouble hearing emergency vehicles? I got a pretty loud exhaust (full termis) and my mirrors also suck so hearing the sirens is what ill have to depend on, ill definitely give them a try

Sunfighter 04-29-2014 10:24 PM

When I first got my bike I didn't wear earplugs... I find the noise worst on the highway where I did a lot of commuting. After about a month I started to think the stereo in my car was going defective... no highs or lows.... just BLAH sound.... then I realized it was because I was spending 60-90 minutes a day on the highway with NO hearing protection. I immediately switched to earplugs and couldn't be happier. I can ride longer without getting as tired and when I get off my bike I am still fresh.... before I was dead after 30 minutes...

CharlieH 04-30-2014 02:00 AM

i substitute earplugs with headphones. drowns out a lot of the loud ass exhaust noise and i can listen to music whenever i want :3

quasi 04-30-2014 05:56 AM

^^

I've started wearing these, I almost always listen to music when riding. I can still hear what's around me but I'm sure they aren't nearly as good as earplugs at protecting your hearing. The best part is they don't move or hurt my ear with the helmet on.
