Snowed this morning in the Tri Cities. I still got to work fine with bald all seasons and no weight in the bed. I only broke loose when I hammered on it (600+ ft/lbs tq will do that).

StylinRed 12-15-2012 02:57 PM

aw man how can it be snowing in langley and raining just over the bridge -_-

Harvey Specter 12-15-2012 03:10 PM

^
I remember a couple years it was snowing hard in Vancouver, went over the knight st bridge and into Richmond it was pouring rain. Lower you are to sea level the less snow you'll see.

It's all white outside now in Vancouver! Totally not expecting it. AWD + winter tires FTW.

Warnings
Metro Vancouver
4:40 AM PST Tuesday 18 December 2012
Snowfall warning for
Metro Vancouver issued

Significant snowfall beginning this evening.

This is a warning that significant snowfall is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.

A vigorous frontal system arriving tonight will bring yet another round of wintry weather to much of the South Coast. Scattered precipitation will persist over the area through today and become widespread this evening as the system approaches. The relatively cold air that is already in place will ensure that much of the precipitation will fall as snow especially over higher elevations. Over areas near sea level, the snow will likely be wet and may be mixed in with rain giving lower accumulations. The precipitation is expected to switch entirely to rain early Wednesday as the freezing level rises. Certain locales in Metro Vancouver and Sunshine Coast may receive 10 to 15 cm of snow by the end of the event.

In addition, strong southeasterly winds up to 70 km/h are forecast to develop over the exposed coastal sections of the Sunshine Coast and East Vancouver Island ahead of the system near midnight tonight. These winds will continue through Wednesday morning and then subside near noon time. Please note that coastal areas of the Sunshine Coast where strong southeast winds are expected may receive significantly less snowfall due to the warmer nature of these winds.

There is a possibility that snowfall warnings will be expanded to other regions as the event draws closer.

Motorists and pedestrians should exercise extreme caution and alter travel plans accordingly where snowfall warnings have been issued. Untreated surfaces will be slippery, resulting in treacherous travelling conditions.

Reports of severe weather can be made via Twitter. Tweet your significant weather report and location to #bcstorm.
