approx 1km stretch of east west connector around s-curve had a layer of ice on it... definitely gotta take it easy on that even with snow tires. this was around 6:15am...one car already had spun out into ditch.

People without proper tires to handle even this small amount of snow on the ground should not be allowed on the roads driving their vehicles, just a bunch of idiots. Was stuck behind too many cars this morning all creeping along Boundary, Kingsway and Broadway at 5km/h not even in their own lane, took 20mins just get North bound on Boundary.

Seriously, if you're going to be cheap or lazy to get snow tires, take a cab or transit when it snows and stay off the roads getting in everyone elses way.

I love my Nokian Hakkapeletta's <sp?>. Not a single issue driving from Burnaby to Abbotsford. Weird thing is, for the first time ever in 35 years of driving the same route, I have never seen it snow in the Lower Mainland while no snow whatsoever in the Fraser Valley. After 176 eastbound, there was nothing. Wet, but no snow. Mind you, this was at 5:30 in the morning.

Haha, I was walking to Starbucks and I was making faster progress than some RWD cars. :D

I think second to not being prepared for snowy conditions (winter tires or brand new all seasons), overconfidence is the cause of accidents. Been in Alberta for two years and for the most part people are pretty good in the snow, but those damn truck drivers that tail you on the highway when its snowing are the same ones that end up in the ditch.

The snow here is different though. Much more grippy than the snow in Vancouver and less hills!

Canada Way had some retard with ALL SEASONS spinning trying to get up the hill between Burris & Imperial.. Backed up ALL TRAFFIC.. I watched it as I travelled past along Burris.

PLEASE, ALL SEASONS ARE NOT MEANT FOR THIS!!

I left my house from Westwood plateau in Coq at 6 and I'm only at new west quay. In traffic for more than 2 hrs :(

luckily in richmond not much snow

man I love this snow, but I love my Duratrac tires more in this snow. Like driving on pillows lol
