where can I buy the descaler? |
nevermind.. found it at CT.. |
superstore now sells hazzlenut flavour too! |

The descaler solution is quite acidic and damages machine if used too often. |
Doesn't it indicate when descaling is required? I've had mine for over 1.5 years and has yet to flash the descaling light yet. |
i know my bottom of the barrel model has a light that indicates when it needs descaling |
Any good deals around lately? I'm completely out..had to resort back to drip coffee. Forgot how flat it tastes..lol Posted via RS Mobile |
actually i use my drip coffee as a luxury when i have time. viet drip coffee :megusta: i was at cdn tire & superstore on the weekend and didn't see any deals. |
That IS luxury! But my drip coffee is "out of a can" Maxwell and through my crappy $20 coffee maker. Haha. Posted via RS Mobile |
Yea haven't noticed any good deals lately. I get President's Choice Dark Roast to tide me over until I see some Gevalia on sale. |
the descaling light came on.. so need to descale.. was at superstore, walmart and no deals... I picked up some tims tdisc last night because I had a craving for some chili... |
See if people from work will go in with you and just get it from vanhoutte directly Posted via RS Mobile |
Few new flavors I'm guessing for the holiday season for tassimo. Pumpkin spice latte: tastes like a watered down version of McDonalds (which tastes pretty watery itself). Peppermint mocha: I like this one quite a bit. Also saw a chai tea which I didn't buy Posted via RS Mobile |
chai tea latte is a standard flavour unless it's a different type? watered down pumpkin might not be bad as mcd's is a little on the sweet side for me. either way will consider trying them both, thanks |

Any deals on machines? Posted via RS Mobile |
The Keurig Elite is going for 79 bucks just about everywhere. I bought one yesterday at Walmart and they have the updated one with three cup sizes, even though the picture on the box has only two. Make sure you open the box and check that you've got the newer model. I love the Keurig, because I can just get a cup of hot water for my miso soup, instant coffee, tea, whathaveyou. I love hot water over cold rice. No bar codes to mess with. If you want a single cup and don't mind the extra wait, Walmart has the mini Keurig for 59 bucks. It's cute and has a small footprint. Has drawbacks, but for a dorm, it's good. |

My wife bought us a Keurig (Cuisinart) machine about 3 months back, I've tried probably more then a dozen different coffees and I haven't really liked any of them. I prefer my regular old coffee pot but the for convenience it's good. Maybe it's because I'm use to a certain type of coffee but I prefer old fashion brewed coffee to the Keurig machine. |
Forgot to mention........ If you register your Keurig, you get a promo code via e-mail for a buy two, get two free deal. You choose 4 boxes and when checking out, you put in the code. Shipping is free for all orders over 45 bucks, I think. EDIT: 45 bucks for US site and 69 bucks for Canadian site (see below). Also, Costco has their Keurig Platinum brewer on sale until the 27th of this month. $25.00 off - manufacturer discount. Comes with 60 free cups! Plus, the Keurig, fill your own coffee filter cup thingy. KeurigŪ Platinum Single Cup Coffee Brewing System EDIT: Just found out that there is a keurig.ca site and a keurig.com site. I ordered my stuff from the .com (USA) site. Way more varieties to choose from. However, they charge you 9.95 brokerage fees along with pst and gst (came out to just over a dollar for both taxes). Anyhow, if you order from the Canadian site, the stuff costs more, so in the long run, I decided to go the US .com site. Got a bonus sample pack, to boot. On top of this, I don't think the promo code works on the Canadian site. Canadian site = major FAIL! |
Costco.ca has Keurig Platinum for $40 off, making it $119.99. Not a bad deal as it comes with some coffee and the reusable cup. How's that for a thread bump? |
I've tried probably 10-15 different tassimo brews IMO the only one worth it is the straight espresso, the rest can barely be called coffee IMO Posted via RS Mobile |
I've tried many different Tassimos. My favorite is still the cafe crema. Best place to buy espressos are staples - I see those 16x nabob tassimo disks for like $5. |
keurigs are awesome for cup noodles :fullofwin: |

Also, I was at Costco this evening and the Platinum Brewer is on sale at Costco locations, not just on-line. The kit comes with 60 kcups, so it's really a good deal. |
