:heckno: one of the things they advertise is that it's not powdered. when shopping for specialty drinks better take heed of the expiry dates ;)

it is ultra-high temperature pasteurised milk, very common in Europe and stays good for prolonged periods of time at room temperature when completely sealed.

Just bought a Tassimo T20 or something like that for parents' Christmas present. What's your guys' proffered T-Disc brand thing? They're not really hardcore coffee drinkers so shouldn't be too bad trying to pick one out haha

Graeme S 12-01-2012 09:44 PM

If they're not really coffee drinkers, maybe buy five or six tcup packs and see what they like best. I mean, I love my coffee dark and strong. My dad too. But my granddad drinks it weak and with 50 sugars, so I can never guess what his tastes are really like.

I bought the hot chocolate and the Genova dark roast..you?

Had the hot chocolate.. It's ok lol. You can tell its water based, but I think it's my fault for not stirring it. Bottom of the cup did taste good.

EmperorIS 12-01-2012 11:44 PM

i bought french vanilla, chat latte and caramel espresso. kinda disapointed it doesn't come with the nice glass cup so I can see the coffee layers

Nabob and Maxwell House are garbage.

The President's Choice dark roast is actually not bad.
Gevalia dark roast costs a couple dimes more, but it's awesome.

there's many diff flavours of hot chocolate. i bought one i forget the brand, it was only syrup and wouldn't fully filter out, had to run it twice, it sucked. trying cadbury now with milk and thinner syrup, not bad as i don't like sweet hot chocolate but it's still not amazing.

Question for those with the t55..

Are there different levels of - or + ? Or is it only short and tall, with no variations?

Also, does a - (short) equal espresso?

Are there specific espresso shots you can buy?

How much is it at Superstore? And when is their no tax event over?

vafanculo 12-02-2012 05:11 PM

It was 129 - 25 percent off. I believe it came to $96

I heard yesterday the no tax was last day. Could be wrong tho as sometimes they have no tax weekend

There are three sizes for coffee. I know the breakfast blend is the extra large size.

Expresso, regular is short, there is the long expresso version and the americano as well.

Fafine 12-05-2012 02:39 PM

dang,
tried a few coffee kcups
green mountain hazel nut, the sample that came with the machine, and even starbucks kcups
but none of those taste as good as the filter with grinded beans.

are you grinding it yourself or the big tins of cans that you buy?
the fresh grind beans are best!

GLOW 12-05-2012 04:11 PM

big tins were too big for me, couldn't finish in time, and they lost their 'freshness'. that's when i switched to buying small bags of ground coffee.
