not much action going on in the vita thread :alone:

Edison_Chen 08-23-2016 06:22 PM

I bought myself 2 of these online today.. Are their taxes on these subscriptions?

I think if you buy it from a retailer (BestBuy, Costco, etc) they charge you tax. However, if you buy it from the playstation store, there is no tax.

PS4 Slim - $299 USD - Sep 15, 2016 release date - will pretty much be the standard, still 500GB HDD

PS4 Pro (neo) - 4K, Upgraded GPU, boosted clock rates, 1 TB HDD
November 10, 2016 - $399 USD

HDR capability coming via patch to all PS4s next week

ZN6 09-07-2016 11:58 AM

^^^ i wonder how much that will translate to in canada? $400 slim $500 for neo?

Also Risk of rain is a damn amazing cross platform game on vita and ps4. came out in 2013 but it was on special for $6 on PSN a few days ago. Not sure if that special is still active.

6o4__boi 09-07-2016 12:17 PM

$499 CDN is a fair guess

I'd still be ok with that price considering the exchange rate.
But i'd probably wait until the first price drop before I get it

twitchyzero 09-07-2016 08:45 PM

HDR for even pre-existing PS4s is not the first time Sony has improved functionality and added features through firmware...hats off to them

the lack of UHD Blu-ray is a major blow for me, but I will still pre-order because it's reasonably priced. I have a feeling this will fly off the shelves, not to the levels of Wii but to the point where MSRP will be adjusted like PS4 after a few months. All the 12 years olds are probably salivating at the potential of pwning their buddies at CoD in 4K.

I'm still convinced PS VR is going to be dead on arrival like most Sony accessories and overly ambitious projects.

I'm guessing they'll pull one of their usual tricks that ends up killing cool things like that.

asian_XL 09-08-2016 04:06 AM

USD399 for the console, another 399 for the VR = 800 for the whole VR experience...ouch.

6o4__boi 09-08-2016 07:23 AM

confirmed at $499
saw the preorder link on amazon

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01LR207T8?...f_rd_i=ps4+pro

pretty sure it'll be sold out...don't mind waiting though
I wonder if Costco will ever carry a bundle

MarkyMark 09-08-2016 08:24 AM

Gonna have to get myself a 4k TV before I bother upgrading to a Pro.

twitchyzero 09-08-2016 08:52 AM

:notbad:

striderblade 09-09-2016 01:19 AM

Not sure if it just me, but that Horizon zero dawn trailer lag for me in 4k. Other 4k video on youtube played fine.

6o4__boi 09-12-2016 11:45 AM

i finally caved and bought two years of plus from costco

after this expires I don't think i'll ever pay $70 for it

twitchyzero 09-13-2016 10:59 AM

strideblade, it was ok for me, but MS Edge browser didn't have 4k option

striderblade 09-13-2016 08:15 PM

Yeah I just checked not sure why my CPU is at 100% when watching that video

StylinRed 09-20-2016 01:30 AM

I'll wait for a uhd bluray compatible one :/

Gucci Mane 10-10-2016 01:13 AM

so i just learned that if you pre-ordered a copy of cod infinite warfare legacy or deluxe, you get to download, install and play cod 4 remastered one month earlier than everyone else.

mind. blown.
