all the Made in Japan products in my household has never failed...we're talking things that are almost 30 years old to products made in the last 5 years.

That only applies when they actually make a cheaper version using cheaper parts. The PS4 will use the same parts no matter where it's made. The country where the assembly itself took place is relatively meaningless.
I agree for some things that need precise assembly.. cameras, watches, etc. But with a PS4 it shouldn't matter.

assembled in japan or china, they both use the same components that are made in...... china... bet u anything the made in japan ps4s r just assembled together in japan where all the components r fabbed and soldered on alrdy, only diff is jdm made ps4 prob doesnt have spit in them LOL
