Sony says 0.4% of their consoles are faulty, although probably 90% of people buying one haven't gotten it yet.. not sure where they get that number from
still no shipping and no billing either. called FS a total of 4 times and even gave 2 different cc numbers from monday to wednesday. i think they dropped the ball with my order.
A quick update. I have been informed that the shipping notification and tracking information are not updated in real time. So, if you haven't received a notification or your status has not changed, does not mean that your order/shipping is at a standstill. Things are really happening behind the scenes!
Hope this helps!

can someone briefly explain a company's reasoning behind the pre-order model ?
I understand small companies with limited resources, but I mean a big company like Sony or Microsoft obviously don't have problems getting their products out there anywhere anytime in the world, so then why do they put us through this pre order process like it's absolutely mandatory ?

^ because no matter how big the company is and how many people you hire to do labour assembling these consoles/products, they can only produce so much supply.. especially when their providing the entire north america
that or they purprosely holding off supply to create more demand which is what conspiracy theorist thought of when the Wii was on limited run for almost 2 years after it came out..
anyone else going to an EB store to pick up their pre order console tonight? im going to richmond center
I wasn't listening but based on how it looked, it looked like he was demonstrating what a piece of shit the port on the second unit was... it looks like a cheap port you'd see on a ZhuGuoHao blu-ray player from china
