The whole wobbling thing seems silly, it only happens if you press down on the back corner, it's not like it shakes back and forth anytime you touch it, or put a game in it.

NCIX sent me an email last week saying the PS4 would be shipped out today but today has gone by and I haven't gotten a shipping confirmation email, I emailed them in the morning and haven't heard anything either -_-
Anyone who works @ ncix got any info?
my ebgames/bestbuy/futureshop/amazon orders have shipped already
kinda suck's they used a shitty flimsy hdmi port by the looks of it,ps3 never had that problem that was so common....i've heard a hand full of story's online of it not being able to turn on.
And yet, if MS had built something that wobbled or the HDMI port was straight out of the back of a 10 year old CRT TV, everyone would bash the shit out of it. But because the PS4 is a hundred bucks cheaper its okay...
Don't know about you but I would have paid that extra 100 bucks just so I know it wasn't made out of literally the worst components just to undercut another competitors price.
How do we know the XBox One is made any better? It's more expensive because of the Kinect camera not because Sony decided to make it with shit components.
A thousand bucks would have killed the Playstation haha
It is nice to have quality and I hope they get these issues figured out, it doesn't seem like a faulty hdmi port or adding more stability to the bottom would be an expensive fix. To me Sony has always been the company that has amazing products if you're willing to pay for the top of the line, but when it comes to the cheaper stuff then other companies have a better bang for the buck.
got mine at EB richmond centre tonight.. didnt even get there til 11:45pm, was on that platinum Edge card line up and manage to walk out of the store within 10 mins after midnight..
there wasnt alot of ppl there either, im assuming they only called people with pre orders for midnight launch..
Picked mine up at best buy few hours ago. Those who have cod, battlefield or assassins creed will have to wait a bit for their digital upgrade. Seems like it'll have to wait for the whole download to finish for some titles. 15gb download for call of duty Posted via RS Mobile

Only time will tell...
Yourself and a lot of the others here might, but the general population is a bunch of cheap fucks who don't understand anything about technology. Everyone bitched about how much the PS3 cost compared to the 360, even though the PS3 came with more features and the base 360 was basically a castrated console.
I honestly don't give a fuck if they cheap out a bit on parts that don't matter like the case, hell even the HDMI port doesn't get unplugged very often in most cases. IMO Sony has usually been ahead of the curve when it comes to their hardware so I'll wait til the XB1 launches to see how the quality compares.
Either way, so long as neither of them burn someones house down or have a 25% failure rate they'll be ahead of the 360.

Slow morning at the office, so I popped by Futureshop Robson, they had plenty of units in stock for regular sale for anyone looking, no one was even there, maybe 10 other people in the store, in and out in 5 mins. Not much of a gamer but I guess I should buy a game or something now haha

Going on an off topic tangent here (sorry guys) but I've always found Sony is willing to charge more because people think that their products are worth the premium. I used to be a big Sony fan (and I do still buy some of their products) but the quality just isn't worth the extra cost when it comes to a lot of their linups. I currently own a very expensive Sony prosumer film camera and, in hindsight, it was one of the worst purchases I've made in the recent past. It was a spur-of-the-moment, necessary purchase at the time to replace an older camera, but looking back I paid about $3000 more for this thing than I should have, and it came with fewer options than it's Canon, Panasonic and RED alternatives.
All that said, for a piece of equipment that will sit on your shelf and will likely only be touched when you first hook it up and never again, who cares if the HDMI port is a little flimsy or the case isn't made of a single piece of brushed aluminium. I'll still buy one eventually, though I'll have to wait until I can bring it to a friends place who has better download speeds than I.
