XLM is an interesting platform since it's going to be decentralized and serves a larger market compared to XRP, but at the same time I doubt it will ever surpass XRP since XRP has bigger names and players behind it. With that said, there is more than enough room for both of them to co-exist together.

If you are to ask me if it's a good investment? Yeah, I think XLM is good. Same with ZRX and KNC because I think decentralization is going to be important this year.

Tegra_Devil 01-02-2018 04:00 PM

I'm torn whether to put 250$ into Ada or XLM. Stupid coinbase weekly limit.

ADA is the way to go.

My target for ADA is $2 plus, just based on the market cap of ETH and XRP.
It won't get you the fast gains like the other coins, but for a long term HODL, ADA is the way to go.

ADA's dev team is legit. They don't even market themselves, their dev speaks for itself.

Put the $250 into ADA!!!

edit; Also, XLM is pretty much XRP's brother. XRP is going after financial institutions and XLM is going after individuals. I don't really see the point in in XLM when XRP is doing the same thing, except XRP is focusing on centralized banking.

Razor Ramon HG 01-02-2018 06:22 PM

Based on market cap, I would lean more towards XLM, but both should give you solid returns.

Both good picks IMO. They've been climbing up since the new year
I dropped Verge XVG after they fudged wraith launch.

Wire to the big exchanges and withdraw right to binance to trade

Verdasco 01-02-2018 11:48 PM

its 2018, stop clicking on coinbase, delete that shit off your memory

quadra can be used and it is a vancouver based company.

They do interac, etransfer, wire, EVERYTHING that is better than coinbase.

If anyone if Canadian, they would use Quadra, if American, use Gemini.

Verdasco 01-02-2018 11:49 PM

$250? put that into penny coins and hope it 10x, do some research.

More income = diversify, low = more risk is okay

The_AK 01-02-2018 11:50 PM

So how are people withdrawing? I know quadriga can do etransfer back to you but hoping to withdraw cash.

Get money into the space first. This is the hardest part.
QuadrigaCX is the best, but wait times are long right now, almost 10 days from what I gather.

Once you get money in, move portfolio into Binance (Binance has the lowest trading fees).

This is my recommendation as to what your portfolio should look like. If you want super quick cash, increase the "random coin" allocation.

40% = ADA
20% = ETH
20% = NEO
10% = EOS
10% = This last 10% should go into random coins you think will moon, this is where you really should gamble.

I also really like the Binance coin because of it's utility. In the Binance exchange, if you use their Binance coin, you get an additional 50% off trading fees. This is unreal. So as more people move over to Binance, and more people will need their coin to pay the fees, the value of their coin will increase. ingenious business model if you ask me.

The_AK 01-03-2018 08:05 AM

Also people with Ledger Nano S, how long did shipping take from the day you ordered?

not doing any research is like throwing darts with a blind fold

for real gambles, put it on a low sat coin with no research but you gotta be shilled somewhere to put money haha so you are technically doing research

bossha 01-03-2018 09:38 AM

It was either this or roulette.

Now, what do I buy? :fullofwin:

ForbiddenX 01-03-2018 11:21 AM

I might be putting in an order for some ledger nanos, probably going to get at least 5 and choose the 3-5 day shipping option (50Euro). With 5 it ends up being ~$105 CAD (wihtout duties)

10 it'll be around $95 + Duties/Brokerage. PM me if you're interested in one for at least $95 won't know the final price until it gets here due to the duties/fees.

GROUP BUY CLOSED FOR NOW

You can check my feedback as well as I've organized a group buy for the Blackvue DR400G way back lol.

Razor Ramon HG 01-03-2018 12:05 PM

There is no duties if you buy from the authorized Canadian retailers. Should be cheaper than buying direct from the manufacturer.

I've checked the list on their site and most of the retailers are out of stock. The only one that seems to have it is selling it for $160 :(
