Didn't mean to imply that there was anything inherently wrong with making money. Just wondering if there was any other motivation other than that.

Right now investing in crypto is like throwing shit on a wall and seeing what sticks. Pretty much everything is sticking right now.

Yesterday I was taking a nap and my phone rings. I'm half asleep and don't know who it is but probably someone I met at a wedding or something. He is with some guys and they are arguing if bitcoin is an actual physical coin or just digital. Tell him it's digital talk for about 20 more seconds and then go back to sleep.

People use bitcoin, it's the shitcoins that I was wondering about. They have no value at all, just a bunch of pump and dumps.

It's funny because all the negative shit people said about bitcoin (ponzi scheme, etc) is all pretty much happening with the shitcoins and people are all over it LUL

and what teh fuck is with this shady DBC

shady slow website from CHINA lmao and working with AI

It's supposed to be a decent project. But it's not the first project to revolve around AI... to me, it seemed like a quick profit dumper...

Yes I do, some projects have real use cases in their respective industries. Some, I admit don't. It's a shame because there are a bunch of shit coins out there whose sole purpose is just for PnD. It just brings a bad image to the crypto world. PnD coins are just for straight noobs entering the market hoping to 2x/3x then end up getting rekt

Holy fuck, XRP at $2. My $1500 invest back in June is worth $20k+ USD.

RevYouUp 12-29-2017 04:32 PM

Holy shit ripple , should have bought more

MelonBoy 12-29-2017 04:52 PM

http://crypto-coaster.com/wp-content...er-bullish.gif

Its exploding! Imo. If your gonna buy alt coins. Ripple is the way to go. Only one that is actually backed by some heavy hitters and has a sensible use case

Who's riding this coaster with me!

side note-
Has anyone pulled out of any coin? Whered you do it and hows the tax work lol? I've heard if you sell it at a foreign exchange. You wont be taxed by le government:considered:

Remember it's only "worth" that much if you sell every last bit of it, and receive your fiat currency for it SeemsGood (and presumably pay taxes on that $18.5K gain Kappa )

RFlush 12-29-2017 05:38 PM

Where are you guys buying XRP from?

kr4l 12-29-2017 05:46 PM

Binance. I tripled up on ripple and game. Time to dump both

Oh man, you're way better off, but I got a $800 USD position in XRP at $0.15.

I was just laughing today. All my buddies buy and sell, i'm more of hold and see type of guy.

They're all pissed they sold at ~$1.

Let's get it bud!

What's your exit strategy? Do you have one?

Unless you consider it a currency. Problem with bitcoin is it is too slow and costs to much per transaction. Not paying $20 in fee's for a pizza.

You can't consider it a currency if people aren't willing to trade goods for it.

Bitcoin fees are higher than they ought to be, but only super high if you need it within the next block. Here's hoping that gets fixed asap!

The exchange I use (ANX) has a flat withdrawal fee of 0.004 BTC - that's $50 USD! Cash withdrawal is $50 HKD LUL ... Bitcoin fees 10X higher than fiat currency fees, how's that for "exact opposite of how this is supposed to work"

They have been getting shittier and shittier every month, this will be the last time I work with them. Just going to cash out and buy from localbitcoins or something from now on. There are ATMs here but they charge 10% markup

SkinnyPupp 12-29-2017 07:21 PM

BTW if someone comes across an alt that is somehow directly attached to the Bitcoin blockchain, please let me know SeemsGood

Speaking of which, where do you guys find out about all these? Because that's the one I am looking for, and the one I would actually believe in and invest in.

https://shapeshift.io/ allows places to except multiple types of coins. As a retailer I don't wan't to wait to revive payment. In 10 hours who knows what the price will be.

eclipseman 12-29-2017 10:22 PM

Never use shapeshift. They are terribly slow. I've been pending completion for 10+ days on a "shift" from btc to xrp.
