He's pretty much fully responsible for the mess that was the Xbox One launch. Not necessarily because of their DRM policy, but the way it was explained (or not explained)
I dunno. I think they should have stuck to their guns and kept most of what they're seemingly dumping. How are things supposed to progress into something better if companies don't risk things now and again. Based on the Wii, we know there's a demand for motion tracking games, so why not try and take it to the next level? If the Kinect isn't required hardware for a game, most developers probably wont even bother coding a use for it in their next game.
I just hate seeing new technology and ideas being grounded into dust by old tech simply because people were too stubborn to try change.

I believe the problem with the kinect was that it was require to be ON whenever the Xbox is. Because it is on even though u may not be using it for gaming (as its supposed to be a multimedia box too) they believe Microsoft is trying to spy on them, etc especially with the NSA fiasco. Now that it doesn't need to be on even for games or programs that doesn't necessarily use the kinect, people may start buying it more. If Microsoft really wanted people to use the kinect, they should provide better deals to developers to entice them to incorporate kinect, and not just shove it down to the consumers. If they drop the Kinetic and $100 price tag, then I would only start to consider buying a XboxOne over a ps4 or take me away from the PC... =x still a long way to go.

they just dropped the launch from 21 countries to 13. the developers of battlefield 4 and minecraft won't even be able to play their own games (if they were to try to buy it at retail), haha.

at xbox going back on EVERYTHING they initially said. Backlash and poor preorder #'s vs the PS4 must be killing them. They might as well come out and say that they have a kinectless bundle at $399 as well to compete with the PS4
I felt the packaging is a lot better than the PS4s until those two little foam pads for the actual system, which don't even go completely around the console... aside from that though i like the packaging
that Power Brick... HOLY SHIT that is Huge! that looks bigger than the PSU in my htpc
XBOX has some extra hardware on it for the various TV related things it does, but I don't think it needed to be that big, especially with an external power supply
Still over all this. Can't wait to see the teardown
Soo you Xbox preorderies excited??? I'm so excited for the next generation of gaming it makes me giddy. The PS4 and XOne are only babies right now, can't wait to see what they can produce a couple years down the road.

the 'brick' is quite literally a cinder block...
it's only big because the PS4 is compact...if they dont make it big how's Microsoft going to come out with a slim version?
