I really was looking forward to getting one and playing Forza 5 but im not sure i want to anymore. The way Turn 10 puts in half the cars on disc for launch and half on DLC for the next 6 months pisses me off. Especially when there is one or two new cars and the rest are old cars from previous titles.
Spent way more on DLC than i should have on Forza 4 and Horizon already.

I am surprised that there aren't a lot of people lining up I wonder if it's the same down in the states? i thought maybe the whole launch fiasco wouldn't have a substantial impact
not surprised at the relatively lack of hype/interest
it's like Sony and Microsoft did a complete 360 (no pun intended) since the launch of last gen...higher price tag because it's primary use is a media hub and not a true gaming console.
it needs to be competitive with a $100 price drop immediatley

hmm what higher price tag?? the ps3 started at 699.99 and dropped to 399.99.. it wasn't till a few years later when it dropped down to 299.99 and whatever it currently is now. as for the xbox it started off at 499.99? or something like that and came down to 299.99 for the xbox/kinect bundle.. and that's like many years later.. so it has nothing to do with the higher price tag coz it's the same as it was when it launched.. the lack of lineup i'm going to say have more to do with more people have preordered or ordered online vs back then when ordering online wasn't that big yet. when they release the number on sales for the console.. you'll probably see more console sold then when the ps3 and xbox 360 launched.. i mean why bother lining up and wait in the cold when i can sit at home nice and warm and wait for it to deliver a few hours later and guaranteed one?

if thats the case, i wonder why the ps4 lineups were so long just last week.

it wasn't really that long.. it's only at certain locations.. majority of the line almost everywhere is really short and most places you coulda walked in at 10am and still grabbed one
I watched launch event coverage on various sites, and it was about the same for both (Edit: MS announced they sold 1 million consoles the first day, same as PS4, although I think XBOX launch was worldwide?)
Not that it matters one bit to us which one sold more, or which one has more hype. Get the one you want. If you can't decide, get neither and wait and see which one gets the better games and has the least problems.
I have two Day One consoles ordered. One from EBgames and one from Futureshop (One is for my roommate). Neither of them are going to get here until Monday or Tuesday, haha. Wish they came out with this on Thursday to allow the one day late for shipping grace period.
