Is there any sort of feedback page where people can make suggestions for ios 7.x directly to apple?

Apple - iPhone - Feedback

While you're at it, complain about the STUPID fade in animation when you turn the phone on.

Updated a few of my devices and so far the only issue I have (which is a rather pressing one) is the fact that my bloody folders on my iPad are all now 3x3.

Seriously? So much wasted real estate. I know its to give the feeling of "zooming in" into the folder but 9 icons on a ~10 inch screen is outright idiotic and inefficient use of space.

The new launcher bar is a nice touch, quick access to BT/Plane/Sleep etc etc is very handy. Photos app is much improved and finally Newsstand can be placed in my "usless shit" folder.

If you have anything older than iphone 5 or ipad 3, you will want to go to Settings > Accessibility > Reduce Motion and enable that setting. It gets rid of the effect where icons wobble when you move the phone around.

I disabled it on the iphone 5 anyway because not only does it waste resources and battery, it actually looks really stupid.

I've been hesitant to update my 4S to iOS7 because my iPad 1G is completely crippled due to it being upgraded to iOS 5.1.1 to the point where it is so slow it is simply not usable.

A few friends of mine have been using the 4S updated with iOS7 without any issues whatsoever though, and I did have a chance to use a 4S on iOS7 and it feels no different from iOS6 in terms of speed (and according to online reviews, though there have been notes on keyboard and lockscreen lag in very rare cases).

Thing is, my iPhone is locked to Rogers but I'm using a Gevey SIM and using it with Fido. I'll have to purchase a Gevey Ultra S to have it work with Fido...

Anyone with connections that can unlock my phone for cheaper than Rogers charges ($50)

So it's being reported that iOS 7 employs multipath TCP.

Apple iOS 7 surprises as first with new multipath TCP connections - Network World

Apparently only being used with Siri right now, but hopefully they'll expand it to include the rest of iOS and third party Apps.

wife updated her 4S to ios7 and no issues she likes it and I like it myself on my iphone5 really refreshing to see...

I was just about to post this.. Pretty cool if other apps can start using it! It is wasted on Siri

How much battery is actually saved? I would think a negligible amount ?

You'd have to test it.. it could be negligible. Personally I turn it off because it looks dumb with it on. In any case, it's pointless

Gucci Mane 09-21-2013 05:39 PM

^ you were right about that though skinny. it definitely made my phone a little less slow. this is a 4s by the way. battery savings i could care less about, its always been good on this phone.

Iceman_2K 09-21-2013 08:27 PM

Should just have a friend call Rogers for you to get it unlocked. If it's been used on the Rogers network for at least 3 months then it should be good to be unlocked.

Pro-tip. To close apps, you can use 3 fingers and close 3 at a time.

Anyone's weather widget not working in notification centre? It just says "weather and stock information provided by Yahoo"

Does anyone with an iPhone 5 think it sounds different after the update?

Yes, all the sounds got updated. You can still access the old sounds, they are in a 'classics' folder.

Yeah exactly. I'm going to forgo the 5s and just pretend I have a new phone because this new update is pretty nice.

Can't wait to see the iPhone6. Probably a good chance a larger screen will be available.

I am not referring to the new sounds... I am referring to the same sounds that I had set now sound different. Email sounds tinny, music doesn't seem to go as loud and the new tones all seem pretty quiet. Even the lock sound seems different to me.

Yeah the tri-tone sounds different to me. They got remastered. Whatever that means.
