Since updating to ios 7, my battery drain was a lot. I always restore as a new phone and never from a backup for major updates. Anyways after about 7 battery cycles (charged to 100% and leave it plugged in for additional 5 hours and then drain till it turns off) , the battery life is back to normal now for the last 2 days.

Yeah I noticed the battery drains a lot on the ipad 2 at idle... I disabled background updates but that didn't really help.

Also the poor performance is starting to get to me.

No turning back I guess, but this kind of sucks.

!MiKrofT 09-25-2013 07:38 PM

Yeah worse battery life and slower performance. Good thing this is only my work phone.

I'm getting better battery life and performance on my iPhone 5, and opposite on my iPad 3rd gen

my 4s is perfectly fine. Just lags once in a while for apps that haven't optimized for ios7.

inv4zn 09-27-2013 04:28 PM

My girlfriend's 4S is fine - she's happy with it
My sister's 4 is slower than two snails racing through peanut butter - i hear her screaming on a regular basis now.

SkinnyPupp 09-27-2013 05:06 PM

Apparently iOS 7 is buggy on all ipads, not just slower ones like the ipad 2. All the lag and battery drain isn't due to the hardware being too slow, so it is fixable. And this also means it is fine on the 4S.

jtrinh 09-27-2013 06:18 PM

Took me a few "Restores" to finally get iOS7 running.

iOS7 on my iphone4 runs fine. Faster than jailbroken 6.1.2. Battery life is the same as well.

Nabatron 09-27-2013 06:39 PM

mine is trash after i updated on my iphone5

!Yaminashi 09-27-2013 07:23 PM

Hopefully they optimize it properly for the next update.

I'm thinking they rushed to release it when they announced the 5S and 5C.

Discovered a bug in the music player.

Searching for a song in the Music App by Artists crashes the app (I discovered about 20+ songs so far). However, searching for the SAME SONG by Album or Genres does not!

This only happens on iPad 2/3 & iPad Mini, searching for the same song (All my music lib syncs from the same iTunes on my Mac) by Artists on iPhone 4/4s, iTouch 5 works with no problems.

Kinda shocked that Apple actually allowed such an obvious/major bug to go live. Guess not many ppl play/stream/AirPlay their music using iPads during the Beta testings?

I found many crashing bugs with ios7 that I can't remember them anymore.

I don't know if this is a bug but it annoys me is the messages app. If I clear the conversation and the contact is still in there for quick access to message and I turn the phone off or reboot it, the time stamp for all the contacts where the conversation is cleared all have the same time and is displayed at the top of the list instead of at the bottom like ios6. The time changes everytime I reboot the phone.

The picture shows what I mean. I blanked out the names. I reboot at 1:44am so all the contacts where the conversations has been cleared it's all time stamped 1:44am and is display at the top. So now instead of clearing the whole conversation, I just leave one message in there so the last person I messaged will be displayed at the top.

Also I don't know if it's supposed to be like this but in the photo app, the album pictures has 2 lines at the top of each picture that is distorted. It doesn't look right

occasionally when I swipe my lock screen the opposite way, the background changes to my homescreen lol

Both me and my friend who uses the iphone 5 came to the conclusion that our battery life seems to have improved a tad.

Sometimes when scrolling in an app, the scrolling freezes and doesn't respond. The only thing that works is the back button. After that the scrolling works again.

lol I was reading online people were complaining of motion sickness with the new ios7 animations.

DanHibiki 10-23-2013 04:12 PM

New 7.0.3 update. They got rid of the zooming out animation to make things speedier. In general everything feels faster.

Anyone know if its possible to get an AT&T phone unlocked up here? Any reputable websites?

rice cooker 10-23-2013 10:07 PM

They updated the podcast app, unfortunately it's pretty much just cosmetic. It still won't download from password protected sites (even though itunes does)

mos_skeeto 10-23-2013 10:24 PM

The zooming in/out can be disabled when you go in accessibility settings.
