HOW is this NOT a top line??

Kass will def notch goals this year, if he is matched with the sedins all season. Burt 2.0.

I ordered the Sports package from Telus. $9/mo, and I can watch all 82 Canucks games. w00t!

never anything special

but this is neat..whether it is real or not..no one knows

Gumby 09-13-2013 01:06 PM

^
Real or not, at the NHL level, the elite players should be able to do something similar.

Hondaracer 09-13-2013 01:18 PM

I think Kane is above most even "elite" nhlers when it comes to stick handling

This is real. Watched it again, this exercise shouldn't be a problem for Kane.

To this day, these drills for puck control are pretty difficulteven when standing still. I know, because I have this set up at home with 4 small cones setup on a diamond.

Btw... Here's Cory in red for a photo shoot.

Majority of nhl players can do that. Some better than others. I remember seeing Lucic (when he was still a Giant) at stick and puck stickhandling like that. He was there for an hour...shot at the net maybe 3 times. The rest of the time was puckhandling and skating.

You know it's real because they are upfront about it being an ad, rather than the STUPID fake "viral marketing" videos you see all the time. Crosby had some really bad ones in particular.

trancehead 09-13-2013 04:38 PM

datsyuk, kovalev can do this no prob. we can add kane to this llist now

def doable for a guy like him. only thing that raises suspicion is where he tosses the puck at the camera at the end. maybe 1/10 he could do that succesfully

RRxtar 09-13-2013 04:42 PM

i doubt the camera toss was real.

and its just like any other video like it. the youtube description says "Hidden camera footage of Patrick Kane stickhandling with the VAPOR APX2 stick."

kwy 09-13-2013 04:59 PM

Cheesy as fuck but you can't deny his skill. But there were probably a ton of takes.

Oh, I didn't read the description, just the title.. but yeah the end was fake as fuck lol

This is more like a 'hidden camera style' video than an attempt at saying it's actually spontaneous footage. Not very original marketing (Canadian company?), but at least it's not as stupid as the gatorade or reebok ads

AzNightmare 09-13-2013 07:38 PM

The stickhandling is impressive, but I'm even more impressed at how he managed to keep his skates from hitting a puck.

40 seconds in, does his glove still have the tags on it?

zx7rrrr 09-13-2013 10:16 PM

Kane doesnt have shit on JT

murd0c 09-13-2013 10:24 PM

^ most nhl's can do stuff like that with the puck when standing still with no one around..

EuterVanWasser 09-13-2013 10:37 PM

Yeah, Tavares is still a stud though.. I hope he makes Team Canada for this year. It's too bad he plays on Long Island and we don't get to see a lot of what he does, he's an outstanding hockey player.

I always knew one day this would happen and it did.

Does anyone know why they make the puck spin on the ice?(0:24)
Does it create a more powerful shot or something? I've seen Joe Sakic doing that in warm up all the time.
