There were a few shifts with shinkaruk - horvat - jensen, but nothing happen. Heading to the game last night I just wanted to see some of the 1st rounders score. Gaunce and shinkaruk delivered, I was happy. Was hoping horvat would get somthing too.

That's what I've kind of Harped on with Kassian is that I love his type of player, but very very rarely have you seen flashes of brilliance with him

Thing about those 'flashes of brilliance' types of guys is that they are quite often easily shut down by good defensemen in the league. Jan Hlavac had 'flashes of brilliance' and plenty of 'natural ability' but for the most part was useless.

As least Kassian is good overall, rather than being useless except for an amazing goal 4-5 times a season.

AV will solve their power play problems? Lol. How did our power play do last year under him?

Last year wasn't great at all, in fact it was brutal to watch. The few years previous to that were solid though. Although AV isn't the Special Teams Coach.

Here's our last 4 years in PP ranking.

2012-2013 - #22
2011-2012 - #4
2010-2011 - #1
2009-2010 - #6

Pretty sure Newell Brown was the one that did the improvement in 2010/11. AV was probably just grinning, chewing his gum and making impressions with Bieksa.
