^Yep totally agree. Said the same thing a few pages back. Stanton is/was rock solid back there, and like you said kept Juice in check.

That Bieksa/Garrison pairing is horrible.

With Hamhuis logging ridiculous minutes, which we can ill afford especially with him going to the Olympics.

Garrison has also been forced to play more minutes than he should and it's cost us dearly.

Because Bieksa can't play his game because he has to cover a fatigued Garrison logging 25 minutes/game. Garrison isn't the quickest at the best of times, let alone when he's tired and he pinches a lot.

Since Edler went down:
- Garrison went from 18 minutes/game to 25/game
- Hamhuis went from 23 minutes/game to 30/game
- Tanev went from 18 minutes/game to 23/game

Basically, all his minutes went to those 3. Bieksa, oddly, is logging about the same amount.

Bieksa plays best with a stay-at-home defenseman like Stanton, Alberts, and Hamhuis ... When he's paired with guys who take chances, like Garrison and Edler, it's begging for trouble.

Tanev is fucking sick...this guy gets hit every single time and I think he's hurt. Nope, he goes back on the ice like a badass. And so many times, I see him going face first to block a shot like he thinks he's a goalie. lol

It's amazing considering how tiny he looks without pads. It must pay to be all wirey and stuff.

Imagine how much better he could be if he could Lidstrom guys and just avoid big hits while making plays. But I guess that's what made Nik Nik.

I think the only time Tanev has ever been out due to injury was when he got hit from behind

Garrison plays with absolutely 0 physicality too
