constantly lose 2-1 "canucks need more scoring"
finally score 4 goals and winning 4-2... lose 5-4

:fuckthatshit:

Lulz me and a buddy almost got into a fight after rhe game because some clowns were basically saying if it wasn't for lack/if it was Lu it would have been over already, then when we said yea it's all Lu's fault buddy challenging us cause we weren't wearing jerseys :/

^Were their jersey's fake? I find it's always the fake ones that tend to start shit usually stemming from rampant alcohol consumption.

Yep, Luongo needs to pitch shutouts and get on the scoresheet, all while he's injured!

Yeah how the hell do you leave the world's best player open at the side of the net like that... :flamemad:

Hondaracer 01-08-2014 09:24 AM

Crosby is stupid sick, got there to watch the warm up and his stick handling is amazing, he was literally standing inside the net pulling pucks out and shelfing them one handed

It's funny cause most people who haven't played don't even know how much a puck weighs or how hard it is to pick up off the ice, the way sid handles the puck is jaw dropping so it wasn't much of a surprise when he's standing there open and scores lol

Just for fun, based on 2013-14 salaries, the total salary for the Canadian roster is $159 million.
Spoiler!

For the US roster, the total is $130 million.
Spoiler!

I wonder what's the deal with the tape job. And I wonder if he's using a weighted stick. Perhaps the coil is a weight around the stick.

SO MANY QUESTIONS.

It's only a matter of time before I see this whipped out during ASHL/Ice604 warmups.

Besides the tape job, you'll notice that Crosby likes to keep his stick blade straighter than other players.

He wants a killer backhand with the straight blade?

m3thods 01-08-2014 10:42 AM

^ Yes there was a feature years back about how he picked up a straight blade from his younger times and stuck with it in order to have a backhand threat.

i'm not raggin' on the guy

I was at the game, 15 rows up behind Lack I was literally staring at Crosby when he had the open net; Crosby had so much time there was no chance Eddie was going to make that save. Third goal, yeah I think maybe he should've had that one.

It was an interesting game to watch though. In the first, my friend and I thought the Canucks might get blown out. They kept things interesting in the second, then after the tying goal (which, imho, was a lucky goal) they just turned it on. Kassian's goal was great, he looked so happy after scoring. But that's all she wrote b/c this recent collapse is now history.

He used that backhand yesterday, it was quite impressive.

Best in the league. It's amazing how much juice he can get off with such a small motion. He must have really, really strong hands and wrists :ifyouknow:

radioman 01-08-2014 12:25 PM

Dat Datsyuk backhand though

m3thods 01-08-2014 12:28 PM

^Second best. I don't think Sid gets it upstairs as fast as the Magic Man.

That said, I don't think Pavel gets the same zip on his shots.

dbaz 01-08-2014 12:29 PM

3rd goal was deflected, you could see it in one of the angles tsn showed. dunno how he should have had it

cdizzle_996 01-08-2014 04:53 PM

m3thods 01-09-2014 08:54 AM

NHL Career Earnings

Top NHL Career Earnings.

Can't believe Redden got paid almost $70 million.

m3thods 01-09-2014 10:18 AM

^Because New York.

slicrick 01-09-2014 10:42 AM

Lundqvist should be up there soon also by the time his new contract is over, the cap hit is big but it's the term that's going to be a problem 8.5m for 7 years starting next season he's already 32 years old maybe he still will be playing at 39 but probably not like the highest paid goalie like he is right now.

As much as I like Lundqvist and NYR it kind of looks like the next Redden, Drury or Gomez contract.

Just canceled my GCL subscription got fed up with all the BS of GCL gonna try hockeystreams

Mike Oxbig 01-09-2014 11:23 AM

Edler (knee) is taking part in the Canucks full practice today.
Edler has missed five weeks with a knee injury, but appears close to returning to the lineup. The Canucks are off tonight, but are back in action tomorrow. Edler definitely seems like a possibility for Friday's game. Monitor his status during tomorrow's morning skate.

m3thods 01-09-2014 12:22 PM

With Edler's play when healthy this season, I'm looking forward to Stanton coming back more.
