If Bernier can fetch 2nd + Frattin + Scrivens...Schneider should be able to fetch at least a 1st + player + player.

AzNightmare 06-25-2013 01:54 PM

I'm sure everyone knows Schneider will net a bigger return.
Schneider's worth more due to his potential and contract, and that's the very same reason why Gillis wants to keep him.

Unless something very "juicy" is on the table, Gillis won't flip and trade Schneider.
And I don't even know how high do other teams actually value Schenider, considering he wasn't all that stellar in the playoffs (probably from injury),
but none the less, still playoff unproven at this point.

I think GM's rather wait and watch Canucks implode, knowing how we're desperate now with this messed up goalie situation.

----

Torts seem like a responsible guy that's willing to own up to his past mistakes and bad reputation.
Not going to lie, I'm quite excited to see what he can do.

If you look at his whole body of work, Cloutier was no where near as inconsistent as Bryz was in his 2 years in Philly. Bryz was a rollercoaster ride from game 1 to game 82+; where Cloutier was just inconsistent/injured in the playoffs.

You'd take Talbot straight up for Schneider? Maybe I just value CS more but damn lol

I wouldve personally start with Couturier or Simmonds for Schneider

CS was top 5 In almost every goalie category in the regular season. And u wanna trade him for a 3rd liner whose never scored more than 20 goals in his career? u kidding me?

Mike Oxbig 06-25-2013 02:15 PM

schneider can probably fetch us wayne simmonds or read + pick, couturier we might need to add JS... but talbot can really put the canucks over the top in the bottom 6 role.

That would be the end for their GM.

I have a feeling a hockey player with the name Sidney Crosby has that already ;)

SKA offered Bobrovsky up to 10mil/year in his homeland of Russia

trancehead 06-25-2013 04:11 PM

Shawn changed his name?

or did Big Earl just channel him?

UFO 06-25-2013 04:30 PM

When Holmgren says there's no way Lu would work in Philly, he actually means the deal is 90% done ;)

I think outside of the golden goal you could argue Toews is a more valuable player at this point

TSN doing the 2003 draft flashback.

Mind blown that Pittsburgh originally had the 3rd overall, but traded for the 1st overall and got Fleury.

Could've taken Eric Staal if they wanted to.

how so? most of the playoffs he was invisible. Yes he's a great player but he had a crappy season and not a good playoffs compared to his standards.
