I think Torts will put Kassian in the correct situtations which will help him grow as a player unlike AV. Take all the pressure off his back which I think really caused the issues of him not progressing as a young player.

It took Stepan, Boyle, Callahan et al 2+ Seasons to become the players they are under Torts.

I don't think that's in the Canucks short-term plan of winning the cup before the Sedins become 2nd-liners/back to Sweden at 35.

A guy who just shows flashes of skill but can't find consultancy is seemingly what drives Torts up the wall ie. Richards, Gaborik, etc especially when Kassian seems to have the attitude that he's more than just a fighter/tough guy he'd rather be the skill guy etc

Could work if Kassian really buys in and falls into the system but if he's status quo then I think he may become

to say kass will be 2nd line next season is a little far fetch..i'd give it at least 2-3 years and maybe we can consider. But that doesn't mean sit him on the bench for those years and have him a 2nd liner then :troll: all our younglins are gonna need couple of years but even if they fuck up while theyre out there in the game we need to let them stay on or they'll never learn

IMO, Kassian tops out as a 3rd liner, capable of putting up 15-25 goals a season (20-25 being an outlier)

I find kassian lack the will to skate hard to the net. Fight for the puck. And forces his way.

A lot of times I see him skating lightly around almost floating around the zone.
