Edler + rights to Ebbett for Letang

Pens get a top 2 Dman to replace Letang, and they also get a highly coveted 1st line Centre

If it's a fair bet, then you wouldn't mind taking the other side, would you?

My god..........

Makes me appreciate Gillis/Gilman getting the guys to take 'hometown discounts' :lol

We're not one "blockbuster" trade away from becoming a championship team...

Window is kind of like now, whats the point of hanging onto Schenider. Of course the deal has to make sense though. If they don't go for it the next couple of years, we might as well rebuild now.

Did anyone tell Letang the cap is going down? ahah

bets are formed via opinions id say its a fair bet either way considering the general consensus, id say taking the bought out bet is a better bet than my side!

Pretty tempted.... ":lawl:
Yeah, Canucks should make the logical decision and trade schnieds. Lets be real, his performance so far....good, but he looked shakey in the playoffs. To say that Cory has a stronger mind than Luongo...I don't know about that.

We've seen Luongo. If only he kept his mouth shut and didn't pump Tim's tires :troll:

Not really racist! 06-27-2013 08:05 PM

IMO, window is already gone...
Unless Schneider can get us healthy Manny ver2., Torres ver.2, and immunity from injury for Kesler, don't think we're gonna get past 2nd round any time soon.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for trading Schneider if it really helps, but I don't see us getting enough return from one trade to really push Canucks to the next level.

So Edler is a top 2 Dman now? Wasn't the consensus was otherwise. :lol

It's closed. We go down this road, we go down the same path as Calgary for the next 5 - 10 years. IMO, we've already begun this descent.

As a fan, I'm more interested in what our young squad can give and where it will take us. It's a HUGE question mark; but at this point, I'm not really interested anymore in what the Sedins and Luongo can give. Although there are no question marks in that, this is not necessarily a good thing.

Losing Schnoo, losing Edler, is going to be an even bigger set back than opting to hang onto the same ol' same ol' Sedins and Lu; as great as they are.

spideyv2 06-28-2013 01:16 AM

^pretty sure there was never any doubt he is a good number 2 dman. The question was always whether he'll be consistent enough to be a number 1.

But since you seemed to take that post seriously, I'm surprised you're not arguing the fact that I only listed Ebbett as a number 1 centre and not a perennial allstar.

hmm. maybe you missed this emoticon :lol.

Edler will be a #1 Dman under torts... the only thing stopping Edler is his brain fart on the defensive end.

Torts gonna bench him for shit like that forcing him to watch the ipad.

Cap is down next year but you can bet your left nut its going up the year after which is when Letangs new contract would take place.

Crosby and Malkin took discounts. They'd both get ten mill a year easy.

Hondaracer 06-28-2013 07:56 AM

Edler doesn't have it in him to be a #1 players like Keith are 3-4 notches ahead of him as it is

Trade was yesterday, Sarich and Tanguay to Avs for SOB and Jones. Not sure wtf Fester is thinking, lateral move at best, should be dumping for draft picks during rebuild, and Jones cap hit of $4mil for 3 more years is brutal, and SOB around young kids influencing them is the last thing any rebuilding team needs.

TPMarko 06-28-2013 09:06 AM

i have no problem with feaster mismanaging the lames further and further.

So who's going where?

I thought it was Tanguay & Sarich to Avs. SOB & Jones to Flames.
